Nightshift 33: F21-30 Hallway
[F22]
The intercom startled Falis when it went off and thankfully, she'd set the newly crafted spear down or she might have jabbed a splinter into her palm. As it was, she was stading over her bed looking at all her weapons laid out upon it. One sharp spear, still stained with Eve's blood, one fresh spear, and a stake. Maybe she needed another stake. Nah... Namine should remember hers; Namine didn't forget things. This was why Falis liked the girl so much.
Her eyes moved to look at the intercom as the announcement continued, nodding as it pretty much conformed the whole ancient technology thing she'd been pretty certain of in teh first place. And since it seemed like it was on the fritz, whatever it did, that maybe the princess wasn't going to have to use her super-secret sealing Forland blood anytime soon. Maybe there was another princess around with special blood doing it for them.
What was her name? Jill? Jane? Whatever.
Now, if the people that were supposed to be showing up showed up soon. Bounty hunters had to be patient, but that didn't mean they liked waiting.

Her expression a perfect picture of discomfort, Toph backed toward the exit. "I am so out of here," she muttered, reaching for the doorknob.
Without further delay, she pulled open the door and sprinted down the hallway.

Not even the most experienced hacker? It definitely sounded like the Head Doctor didn't want that entire section broadcasted, and it left Willow wondering what on earth it meant, and nervously hoping no one had discovered she tried to hack in the other night. Would she be able to get in if she tried again tonight? Was that what it meant?
With a brief shake of her head, Willow sat down on the bed to wait for Angel and Anya to get there.
Re: F23
"Hello, Willow!" Anya exclaimed excitedly as she burst through the door to her friend's room. Her own loud voice made her head hurt, so she stopped talking and settled for grinning. Maybe it was a bit of a manic grin, but she couldn't help being excited for the basement. They might finally escape tonight!
"How goes the moping?" she enquired, speaking more softly than usual. "I'll admit, I did a bit of that myself the night before last, but now it's time to be energetic and productive! The entrance to the basement is in the walk-in freezer. What do you think is the best way to approach? Angel and I attempted to get in through the courtyard last night, but there was an evil, evil clown who had somehow been moved from the sewers and convinced to stop murdering children and instead murder us. Fortuntely, we survived."
She continued smiling at Willow, expecting either kudos for escaping Death By Clown, or a suggestion of how to enter the basement.

Without even thinking, she reached under her pillow and grabbed her flashlight, clicking it on with a content sigh. Light was always better; the darkness caused her to think too much, and at times her mind could be a rather cruel place.
Rolling off of her bed, Bella reached underneath the mattress and pulled out her pipe, clutching onto it tightly before she moved towards the door, pausing once she reached out to grasp onto the handle. She knew Edward would be mad at her for leaving the room without him, but ... honestly, she hated being cooped up in the thing waiting for him, especially after last night. She didn’t want to risk it.
Without looking back, the teenager quickly pulled the door open and stepped into the hallway, moving down it shortly after.

But she didn't want to spend too long thinking about it. She had to get to F3 quickly, to meet Orihime and the others. So she bid Skuld a hasty goodbye before grabbing her flashlight, and running out the door.
At least as fast as she could with her injuries.

And the arguing over the radio. Despite herself, she was curious. Seiya wondered what Leon would want to do, and wondered what Usagi and Ami were up to this evening. What was past the walls?
First things first, she reached into her closet, and started picking out the few things she'd chosen for herself. Most importantly, she put on the sneakers. They weren't very comfortable without socks, and they were not exactly her style, but they were an improvement over the weak slippers. Then, pole and bag over one shoulder, box cutter tucked into her waistband and flashlight in her spare hand, she headed out.

"Whatever!" she muttered, exasperated. "If he takes more than a couple of hours, I'm making something else and leaving."
At least she had Angel's ax ready; it was still hidden in her closet, alongside her bughammer. She couldn't just stay in her room all night again; she was agitated enough as it was.
It didn't help her state of mind that she had no idea if making something for Angel was okay to begin with, but she'd spent most of the previous night agonizing about it and mostly concluded that honestly, the rules were unclear on this topic. As far as she could tell he wasn't the kind of demon she knew at all, and he definitely wasn't bent on Heaven's destruction. And he seemed... like a good guy.
Part of being responsible is making your own decisions, for good or for ill. And I don't think he's bad, so--I should help him. She didn't know if it was the right thing to do, but maybe that was part of the test. And how often did Goddesses First Class know for a fact something was the right thing to do, anyway? Uncertainty sucked, but it was a part of life.
"He'd better appreciate this."

Going the rest of the way to Skuld's room didn't take too long and Angel found himself in front of the door a few minutes later.
He hesitated a moment before knocking lightly on her door. "Skuld? It's me."

Re: F30
F30... Oh, here! Right at the end of the hall. The convenience of reaching the room might have made up for the effort it took to get metal from an already cleaned hit bathroom. Brooklyn set the pillowcase down by his feet and knocked on the door a couple times. "Um, Skuld? It's Brooklyn. Are you there? Sorry I took so long..."
He might look a mess, but he hoped he didn't smell too bad. For a place that seemed so unnaturally clean during the day, it sure could be disgusting at night.

Didn't sound like everything was going smoothly for the guy, huh? Good. Bastard deserved every hit he got. The messages were cryptic at best, but even if Yukari didn't know what it meant it sounded like things were falling out of his favor here and there. Heh.
Either way, she couldn't stick around for long. No doubt the start of the night would wake the other occupant of the room, and Yukari didn't want to be around for that; her miracle may as well slap her across the face if so. With impressive speed, she held on to what she needed and ventured out into the hallway.

It didn't take long to find Alita's room number. Kagura hadn't been alone since... well, since her first night here in the institute. She flicked her flashlight up and down the hall nervously before she knocked on the door.
"Ah... Alita-hime? Are you here?"
Re: F22
Falis had been getting a bit impatient, so she opened the door to Kagura in the manner she tended to do anything - boldly. "Yo! Come in!"
She reached out to grab the girl's arm and help her inside. "Don't be so damn nervous. I ain't the Jitterbug!"

She reached for her shovel, then saw something else and hesitated; as much as she didn't want to cover up her outfit, it didn't even protect her against cold weather, let alone from attacks. Sighing, she reluctantly took out her jacket and put it on; it was gray, bulky, horribly ugly, and didn't match her outfit at all. But... warriors had to make sacrifices now and then.

The fact that she sat up lazily in complete darkness told her as much.
She’d been in the place long enough to know that when the lights went out, it was dark. And she was definitely still in Landel’s. The bed, the clothes, the smells. All the same.
Crawling out of bed, she smoothed out her hair. She wasn’t very happy, and her lack of expression was repeated evidence of that. Too much going in that pretty little head. Too much, too much.
Diva stalked into the hall barefoot.

As soon as her companions arrived. Perhaps she'd been unlucky and those two had managed to vanish as well. Her boots clicked against the floor, her bare sword belt bounced against her hip. Her pillow case had been stripped and tied to her belt in hopes of a good haul this evening.
Re: F25
Hopping off the bed, Mion looked around the room. Pacing earlier hadn't done much, so she doubted that would change anything. She had forgotten to ask Celes about Larsa, and it seemed she wasn't traveling with him and the other man either... Well, she'd just have to ask her roommate about that later. She had Shion to... deal with? look forward to?
Mion wasn't really sure.

Still, she stepped out into the hallway and proceeded to her meeting point with Allen and Rukia.

Moving swiftly down the hallway with her flashlight, Shion didn’t pay any attention to the other patients who were still wandering the hallway. They meant nothing to her, after all.

Once she thought it was complete, or at least suitable for use, she closed her journal, grabbed her flashlight and radio, and set off into the night.

Outside F25
Edgeworth knocked on the door of F25, then waited. There was a niggling fear in the back of his head, and he half-wanted to duck just in case a whip was on the other side of that door, but that was a bridge that would be crossed once they got to it.
Re: Outside F25
He was lucky, Celes would've given her eyeteeth for a weapon by this point. Even if it was something poor and sad like a whip. She pulled open the door with practiced ease, the heavy torch in her hand prepared to bludgeon whatever creature, insane patient or indiscreet pervert happened to be crawling around tonight. Instead, there was a man just slightly taller than she. Celes folded her arms under her breasts and looked him over. "You are Master Edgeworth, I assume?" If she smelled a lie, the flashlight in her hands would make short work of the man before her.
