This hallway wasn't exactly bustling with people either. Granted, this nuthouse was probably different from a general town square, but the fact that Tyki happened to be one of the first people out could probably considered as surprising. The Noah of Pleasure was known to be slacking off on occasion, usually needing others (more often than not the Millennium Earl) to urge him to do something. But tonight was a little different. Tonight he was going to take some revenge. And have some proper entertainment while he was at it.

And unless Martin Landel had an annoying sense of logic he was only one door away from his destination.

Tyki always considered these endless string of hallways pretty boring, and tonight wasn't any different. After all, the dull scenery and the lack of interesting things around here made it difficult to catch his attention for long. Traversing them was such a tedious task to get anywhere.

At least he had almost reached his destination for tonight.

Dean had taken a nap after dinner, figuring that he might as well grab whatever rest he could before he took off trying to find supplies for a full-blown exorcism. His sleep was fitful, the hunter tossing and turning in the bed, eventually settling for sprawling face down in it with his arms flung around his pillow. When he woke up, Angel was gone. Dean rolled over to sit up, jaw set as he rubbed the sleep from one bleary eye, still breathing heavily. Cold Oak. Fucking Cold Oak. That was over and done with, yet he was still having nightmares about the goddamned place, as if enough wasn't enough that all of that was far behind him now. Reaching up, Dean took in a slightly shaking breath, pinching the bridge of his nose as he told himself he wasn't gonna keep waking up in cold sweats feeling Sam's blood all over him, and, if he was, he would deal with it 'cause it was just a bunch of dreams. Wasn't real anymore. He'd saved Sammy.

When he stood up, he was ready to get on with the night. He'd find his little brother, no matter what, even if he had to get his information from that demon Punk-Ass and not by asking nicely.

Dean was even looking forward to it now.

Heading over to the closet, Dean opened it. His clothes hung there in the closet, all perfectly folded, just like it'd been this morning when he'd left it. Feeling under his jeans, his fingers closed around the bowie knife's hilt. Setting the knife aside, Dean began changing, shrugging out of his simple patient clothes and kicking them aside so he could put on his real clothes. The last things to go on were his boots and jacket, the weight of his pendent settling comfortably against his chest. Dean turned his attention to getting ready for the night. Flashlight? Check. Bowie? Check. And something to carry more than a handful of salt...Dean improvised, removing the pillow case from his pillow and balling it up so he could stuff it in his pocket.

Ready as he was ever gonna be. Aside from being bandaged up still, he was good.

Dean consulted the map he'd copied his first day here from the bulletin board. If he was gonna try to get hold of a rosary, it'd most likely be in Patient Possessions - someone here would've had to be a Bible-thumper who believed in God and all that stuff at some point, right? Salt, he figured the kitchen. As for something to deal with Punk-Ass, he figured he'd need some rope (or duct tape, if they didn't have any rope just lyin' around) and something to draw out the Key of Solomon. Not to mention water; kinda hard to make holy water when you had the holy but not the water. First thing was first though; he still had that meeting with that "R" chick - he thought it was a chick - in F-A hall for that spare flashlight.

The hunter turned on his flashlight and opened M2's door, stepping outside.

Ophelia slowed back to a walk as she entered the main hallway. It was a ways off in the dark, but she could just make out a small patch of light further down in the center of the hall, presumably streaming in from the Sun Room's glass ceiling. She didn't see anything yet, but there was no telling when something might suddenly jump out at her. That large glowing thing before had seemed to come out of nowhere, hadn't it? Who knew how Landel inserted his creatures into the building when night fell. For all she knew, he had some sort of magical location abilities, transporting creatures to wherever he desired on a whim. Power great enough to bring so many types of beings to a place like this was surely great enough for such feats.

Keeping her wits about her, Ophelia moved slowly down the hallway.

Ophelia carefully opened the door, listening and looking around in both directions for any signs of monster activity. When she was satisfied that there was none that she could detect, she swung the door open and hurried down toward the main hall where more of the moonlight could be seen faintly. Once she got there, she knew she was definitely going to have to keep her guard up, considering that the main hall had been where the big monster from the previous night had been.

Nothing around so far to get in her way. She was one of the first patients out of the starting gate. Excellent. Ophelia picked up the pace a bit, though didn't quite start running yet. She made for the dim moonlight she could see from the door at the end of the hall, keeping an eye out for any sudden movement that might jump out at her from the other F Block halls.

It became more obvious as he went down the hall that he'd been moved rooms: this wasn't the same room as it was the night before, he realized, shining his flashlight for a second on one of the room number plaques. Before, it'd been in the hundreds. Now he was passing M8, M9. Dean moved quietly, keeping up a good pace but not breaking into a run and stopping every now and then to listen. He stopped at the end of the hall, examining a door. This one led to a bathroom, which was where Skuld suggested he get metal for the knife.

Glancing around, he checked for anyone else - or anything - before turning back to the door and testing the handle. It turned, the men's bathroom door swinging open...

As she entered the hallway, Ophelia stopped for a moment to quickly fold up Kio's maps and stuff them into one of her pockets. She had been hoping to take a peek at them at various intervals during the night, but in this dim light, there was no chance of being able to see them. For now, she would have to travel by memory of where she had been taken during the day.

At least this time the choice of where to go was easy. On one side she could just barely see the hallway ending, and on the other it continued for a ways. The path that continued would surely lead to the Sun Room and the areas around it. She started running again with a grin spreading on her face, emboldened by the long, seemingly unobstructed length of the hall. Perhaps she would find her first challenge of the night soon.

[In M1]

Kurt felt a slight chill run down his spine. The tones of the two announcements were so different, it was chilling. And sleep experiments? That didn't sound good. No one had told him about the sleep experiments. But he supposed that since it didn't have anything to do with him, he shouldn't be too worried for the time being. Maybe Steve would know.

"I suppose I should go meet my friend," Kurt said, smiling a little at Kon. He didn't really want to go out there.

And once he realized that his pointed ears, fawn legs, prehensile tail, fangs, yellow eyes, and blue furry skin had returned, he really wouldn't want to go out there.

"And I believe it's time to start wrapping up the day," was what the Head Doctor said after the intercom's initial jingle. "Now that everyone's all cleaned up, I think it's time for some... that's right, dinner!

"Tonight, we're serving some scrumptuous rotisserie herb chicken, seasoned with rosemary, lemon juice, and other delicious seasonings. On the side, we have cooked asparagus with bits of grilled onion, as well as small roasted potatoes with garlic and butter; for dessert, we'll be serving vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup on top. Our normal assorted drinks and specialized diet alternatives are available.

"Some of you might find that you have new roommates since your old ones were fortunate enough to recover and leave us. Hopefully, you'll be able to see them again the next time we have visitors if you wish, but in the meantime please treat your new bunkmates kindly.

"I believe that's all for now. I hope you had a wonderful day and that you have a delicious dinner! ...Well, you'll definitely be having a delicious dinner, but there's nothing surprising about that, is there? Hahaha..."

With a seemingly good-natured chuckle, the Head Doctor turned off his mic.

The intercom clicked on with its cheerful jingle and the Head Doctor cleared his throat.

"Hello, everyone, and I hope you enjoyed your delicious breakfast and perhaps the new friends that came with it as well. Now, however, you might have to temporarily depart with those new friends: it's time for the adult patients to be escorted to the showers and for the children to be escorted to the Arts & Crafts room. New adult patients may either join the children or become accustomed to their new surroundings in the Sun Room.

"I apologize once again for the brevity of this announcement. Paper work is heinous, you know! Hahahaha..."

The doctor's laughter trailed off and he gave a small sigh.

"In any case, some more new patients will be joining you this shift, so I hope you all say a warm hello to them as well. Thank you!"

The intercom clicked off.

[ All introduction posts for this shift's group of new characters should be made in response to this post. (Please have your new character wake up in a random empty room, as we aren't yet able to officially assign rooms.) Since we know it'd be weird for new characters to get showers on their first day: it is MANDATORY for brand new patients to hang in the Sun Room with whoever else wants to go there or to go to the Arts & Crafts room with the other age group. (The nurses will say that they were already cleaned up upon their arrival.) Thanks! ]
