Nightshift 33 - M81-M90 Block
If he didn't know better, he'd say that the intercom announcements were playing mind games tonight, more than usual.
Clark left his room apprehensive. Last night hadn't gone well; he'd probably nearly died from wounds that shouldn't have even been possible and, to make it worse, Alkaid and Badou and Claire had gotten hurt trying to help him. And what was with the intercom announcement? It sounded like Landels had gotten hacked and then there was something about the security system. Was it possible to leave? Or was it a glitch, something that could make the security system even more deadly? Clark didn't know, but he planned to find out.
Gripping his flashlight in one hand, he stepped outside.

It made sense for a place with this advanced technology to have a force field of some sort. Clearly Dr. Landel hadn't planned to have that play, and the emphasis on the hacking during the broadcast. Worth investigating for sure. Hopefully Logan didn't have any plans for tonight, but if he did, Marcus could manage without him.

He'd just have to ask Kadaj when they met up. If his silver-haired companion had the same idea then he couldn't say it was all his fault, could he? (Well he could, technically, but he'd be a big fat liar.)
They'd agreed on the main hall, so he intended to make his way there as quickly as possible.

The broadcast coming in over the radio and intercoms made him pause, but only briefly. Something was wrong, but he didn't have time to dwell on it. There were people waiting for him.

If Lord Hellmaster didn't show up soon, Xelloss would just move along without speaking to him for yet another night. It wasn't terribly far to his destination, the delay shouldn't be too costly.

Hefting his pillow case, full of his materials and sword, over his left shoulder, Archer held his flashlight in his right, scanning the hallway. "Ready?"

She had only been to Ken's room once before, but it was pretty easy to remember where it was. Yukari paused in front of the door, as if listening for any sounds coming from the other side. Hearing nothing, she called out, "Ken-kun, are you in there?"
Again, nothing. "Hey, come on, say something at least!"
Silence. Was he really not in there?

Thankfully, Marcus hadn't run into any trouble on the way back, the last thing he needed was to get in a fight with an unconscious, brainwashed girl in his arms.
He opened the door and went inside the room. It was a bit awkward to pull back the covers while still holding her, but once they were pulled back Marcus carefully lay the girl out on the bed, pulling the covers back up over her.
Hopefully if she did wake up before morning the wouldn't go out into the halls and try to attack patients again. Even worse than that would be if she could control the doll from a range, but at least she'd be safe for the night.
In the morning he'd make sure she was okay.
