Nightshift 33 - M81-M90 Block
If he didn't know better, he'd say that the intercom announcements were playing mind games tonight, more than usual.
Clark left his room apprehensive. Last night hadn't gone well; he'd probably nearly died from wounds that shouldn't have even been possible and, to make it worse, Alkaid and Badou and Claire had gotten hurt trying to help him. And what was with the intercom announcement? It sounded like Landels had gotten hacked and then there was something about the security system. Was it possible to leave? Or was it a glitch, something that could make the security system even more deadly? Clark didn't know, but he planned to find out.
Gripping his flashlight in one hand, he stepped outside.

It made sense for a place with this advanced technology to have a force field of some sort. Clearly Dr. Landel hadn't planned to have that play, and the emphasis on the hacking during the broadcast. Worth investigating for sure. Hopefully Logan didn't have any plans for tonight, but if he did, Marcus could manage without him.

Stepping out into the hall, Logan could tell instantly that Cole was already there, waiting for him, no doubt. He stepped up to the man, leaving the door open for Parker to follow through after him. "Where tha hell ya been all day, bub?" There was amusement in his tone, to imply that he was only mock-angry. "Been looking fer ya. Foun' somethin' las' nigh' ya migh' fin' interestin'."
He didn't wait for a response, merely continued on another topic. If it wasn't for the years and the gravel in his voice, he might have sounded like an excited schoolboy yammering to his father about the day he'd had. "Ya hear tha' dreck on tha intercom? Course ya did, everyone did. Wha' ya make o' it, bub? Coz I'm thinkin' we might have a chance a' gettin' a few o' these people outta here, once we do a little more snoopin' o' course." And then, then, it would be time to pay Landel a little visit. That dark smile played across his features again.

"There's no telling what we'll find when we get outside, there will probably be more creatures outside protecting the grounds, so I don't want to have people escape just to get eaten outside the walls of the hospital," Hopefully Logan didn't make any plans, but it sounded like he was willing to go.
"I'd like you to go with me tonight if you have no other plans," If he did have plans... Marcus could go out alone, and he'd probably bump into Stefan along the way. There was a good chance his former friend had come up with the same idea he had.

"Parker wan's me at his back ta head upstairs ta'night', but I get tha feelin' tha's more o' a...formality than anythin' else. He'll be out in a sec, we'll work it out from there." Truth be told, whilst he didn't care too much for just running for the border (there were too many people in here that didn't deserve to be left to be turned into chum, as Cole had mentioned), he was more than willing to take a shot at trying to kill something, as usual.

The hint (which must have come from the new voice behind the radio) was easy enough to puzzle out, though Peter wasn't exactly sure he trusted it. Just because they got over the walls didn't mean they were home free. The trip to Doyleton had proved that much.
He didn't think it would be a good idea to change his plans to check it out, either. There was a good chance that there were going to be monsters guarding the exits, and Harry still didn't have a weapon.
He finished suiting up by pulling his mask on and then headed into the hall, only to find that Logan and Statesman were already chatting. He glanced from one to the other and then shrugged his shoulders. "What's going on?"

What he really wanted to know was how far out the transformation that happened at night took place, though he imagined it might be very hard to get to it in a single night without the ability to fly like he could before he was brought here.
He had the feeling that once they were outside the walls, there would be quite a few creatures for them to face. It would be the first line of defense against people from the outside, and the last line for people trying to escape.

"We gotta do somethin'. Too many people been hur' already." He looked edgy, idly twirling his knife.

Logan had offered Harry a weapon already, and his friend had refused it, so he didn't know how well that would work. Then again, he might be able to get Harry to see reason if he told him he would only be borrowing it for this one night.
"Hmm. I don't want him to head out there if he isn't armed somehow, but I don't know if he'll want to use a weapon someone else gave him." He sent Logan an apologetic look, knowing that Harry could be difficult sometimes. "I'll try to talk him into it, though. We just need to go meet him by the stairs. Or I can go and get him and meet you guys out there." He shrugged, willing to be cooperative for once. This sounded like a good plan, so he didn't mind being a part of it, so long as Statesman wasn't telling him what to do every step of the way.

Not accepting help was a very arrogant thing to do, and if Parker didn't think his friend could handle himself well against the creatures without a weapon it sounded like overconfidence. "He's your friend, if you think it's too dangerous for him outside or he won't use the knife, do what you think is best," Statesman did want to meet this friend they were talking about sooner or later, but right now there was business to be taken care of.
Hopefully if it was just Peter offering the knife without Marcus and Logan standing around, the friend would be a bit less arrogant about it. "I'll head outside with Logan. I think our best bet is to go over the outer wall where it connects to the wall separating the courtyard and the field."

"Let's move then, clock's tickin'." He cast his gaze around the hall again, sniffing the air for perceived threats. "Stay frosty, kids." He paused for less than a second before dropping into a fighting crouch. "You wan' me ta take poin'?" This last question was aimed at Statesman.

"Can I get the knife, then?" He figured his offer to Harry would go over a lot better if he already had the weapon with him, since then it would seem more like he was the one offering it up. His friend probably still wouldn't like the idea of it, but it was his best bet.
Logan already looked ready to go, and Peter smiled at him under the mask. "Good luck," he said to his roommate. He knew that man's fighting tendencies could be dangerous, so he could only hope that nothing would go wrong, or at least that they would work to Logan's benefit. He did hope he could join them, but he would respect Harry's wishes if he would rather stick to the original plan. There was no harm in trying to convince him, though.

Marcus pulled the extra knife out of his belt and offered it to Parker hilt first. Though, really it could hardly be called that. Still, a makeshift weapon was better than no weapon.
He heard the announcement over the radios and looked at Logan. "I think that's our cue to get moving, I'll take point," Between the two of them, they probably had enough heightened senses to pick up anything coming at them.
Once Parker had the knife, Marcus had a few final words before he left, "Be careful, and if we don't meet up tonight I'll put up a notice on the bulletin board to make sure everyone is still in one piece."
With that said, Marcus started down the hallway.

Hopefully Harry was running a little late himself. If not, his friend might have gotten impatient and headed off on his own. Even though they had run into a brainwashed patient last night, Peter wasn't sure Harry understood just how dangerous this place was yet.
Well, he'd be learn soon enough, whether he wanted to or not.
