Nightshift 34: F1-10 Hallway
Okay... that was creepy, thought Sheena as she stared up at the intercom. She glanced around her room nervously, balled up pieces of discarded paper strewn all over the floor by her. The man sounded like a seriously screwed up Desian that liked to toy with people... like Kvar did. Shuddering, the guardian picked up the cards she'd made with an ink-stained hand and fanned them out.
Alright... not the greatest work she'd ever done, she had to admit, but only three of them felt a little off when she concentrated on them. A few smudges of ink shouldn't matter anyways. Fanning herself once, she then folded the cards back up and looked down at her inky hands. "Stupid pen. Why did it have to break so easily? I was just trying to figure out where the ink was, NOT get it all over me. I hope I don't have any on my face..."
If she did, she was certain Raine would point it out to her. As long as the half-elf didn't do that weird lick her thumb and wipe it off thing she'd seen her do to Genis more than enough times, Sheena would be fine. If not... well... she'd glare at Raine or something. Grabbing her flashlight and cards, Sheena lamented the lack of an obi as she left her room.
Now where was F18?

"I was hopin' I might run into ya. See, I was talkin' with Ran-chan ah-... Matsumoto-san a lil' while back n' she said you wouldn't mind fixin' me up tonight." It wasn't an outright lie, but he had a feeling Ran had probably neglected to mention a few things. "I won't keep ya too long. I know everyone's in a fair amount a hurry." He said the words sweetly, as if completely unaware of the tension in the air.

Orihime rested her hand on Ururu's shoulder, but when she spoke she was addressing both girls. "Ichimaru-san is telling the truth. It's ok. We're not going to fight."
She looked back at him again, "Where are you hurt?" She meant to heal him right there in the hallway. It wasn't busy so they wouldn't be getting in anyone's way.

But she trusted Orihime more, so Ururu lowered her arms. Her guard, however, stayed up, Ururu ready to strike at Gin the first time he did something that looked bad. She wasn't going to let her friends get her. Absolutely not.

This just made things more confusing. On the one hand, there was all this tension in the air. On the other, the idea that she wanted all of her friends to well, be friends.
What would Neku do? Probably ignore everyone. Eri would try to smooth things over, but...I'm nervous., she thought, looking back and forth at everyone.

"I'd hate for you to get all tuckered out where there's nowhere to set an' all on my account. Your friends c'n come too of course," he offered, not taking a step closer yet, but not stepping away either.
"Maa..." he looked up when the new girl mentioned Ran. "That's her, Matsumoto Rangiku. We're friends," he assured, "known each other a good long while."

"Matsumoto-san's room is F9. You guys can go ahead if you want and I'll catch up when Ichimaru-san is done. I'm sure she won't mind." It was their choice now, so hopefully that would be the right thing to do. She took a few steps towards him, putting herself in front of both girls. "It'll be fine." She added, just in case. Shiki probably had no idea what was going on, but that was the best she could do at the moment.
"Which room?" She asked, letting him take the lead.

Without waiting for the others of her party, Gin opened the door and waited for Inoue to follow.

But then Gin and Orihime went off, before Ururu could stop them. The girl watched them go with wide eyes, then reached over and grabbed Shiki's hand. She didn't want the other girl to be scared or in danger, but Ururu didn't want to leave Orihime alone with Gin, or Shiki alone in the hall. So without any explanation, Ururu pulled Shiki with her to follow the other two.
