Nightshift 34: F1-10 Hallway

Okay... that was creepy, thought Sheena as she stared up at the intercom. She glanced around her room nervously, balled up pieces of discarded paper strewn all over the floor by her. The man sounded like a seriously screwed up Desian that liked to toy with people... like Kvar did. Shuddering, the guardian picked up the cards she'd made with an ink-stained hand and fanned them out.

Alright... not the greatest work she'd ever done, she had to admit, but only three of them felt a little off when she concentrated on them. A few smudges of ink shouldn't matter anyways. Fanning herself once, she then folded the cards back up and looked down at her inky hands. "Stupid pen. Why did it have to break so easily? I was just trying to figure out where the ink was, NOT get it all over me. I hope I don't have any on my face..."

If she did, she was certain Raine would point it out to her. As long as the half-elf didn't do that weird lick her thumb and wipe it off thing she'd seen her do to Genis more than enough times, Sheena would be fine. If not... well... she'd glare at Raine or something. Grabbing her flashlight and cards, Sheena lamented the lack of an obi as she left her room.

Now where was F18?

He could tell they all wanted to have things quickly over and done with, but he wasn't about to sit in the hall while she healed him, first of all it would make it painfully obvious that he was skulking around behind the other shinigami. He'd rather things were as candid as possible. "Why don' we use one a' these empty rooms?" Gin suggested, pointing a couple of doors down.

"I'd hate for you to get all tuckered out where there's nowhere to set an' all on my account. Your friends c'n come too of course," he offered, not taking a step closer yet, but not stepping away either.

"Maa..." he looked up when the new girl mentioned Ran. "That's her, Matsumoto Rangiku. We're friends," he assured, "known each other a good long while."

Orihime didn't particularly want to go anywhere with him, but she would still go into the room if that was how it had to be. Could she even trust him not to put her friends in danger? She didn't really know the answer to that. She wanted to, for Matsumoto's sake.

"Matsumoto-san's room is F9. You guys can go ahead if you want and I'll catch up when Ichimaru-san is done. I'm sure she won't mind." It was their choice now, so hopefully that would be the right thing to do. She took a few steps towards him, putting herself in front of both girls. "It'll be fine." She added, just in case. Shiki probably had no idea what was going on, but that was the best she could do at the moment.

"Which room?" She asked, letting him take the lead.

If Inoue wanted to play the part of the martyr, he wasn't about to stop her, though this time his intentions held no ill will. While he could heal, it wasn't something he could really perform on himself, and it wasn't his area of expertise. Besides, the broken ribs and the nasty cut from last night were something of a pain to deal with. He lead the way, moving down a couple rooms to one he was certain was empty. He'd been waiting and watching the comings and goings long enough to recall which was which.

Without waiting for the others of her party, Gin opened the door and waited for Inoue to follow.

[[pulling Orihime down a thread, others are welcome to follow]]

Ururu looked up at Orihime when the older girl stepped in front of him, wondering what she was thinking. She knew that Gin was supposed to be on their side, but he had done bad things! And Ururu didn't think Orihime really wanted to go with him, but she didn't want to break her word either. Ururu thought she could understand how that felt, but she still didn't think it was a very good idea.

But then Gin and Orihime went off, before Ururu could stop them. The girl watched them go with wide eyes, then reached over and grabbed Shiki's hand. She didn't want the other girl to be scared or in danger, but Ururu didn't want to leave Orihime alone with Gin, or Shiki alone in the hall. So without any explanation, Ururu pulled Shiki with her to follow the other two.
