Day 31: Intercom, Evening
The intercom's jingle came on with its usual overly-cheery quality, echoing through the halls and doctors' offices.
"I trust, as always, that you all enjoyed the last shift and that all the staff-patient interaction went smoothly. Of course, we're nearing the end of another day and so we must begin to bring things to a close. Nurses and orderlies, please escort all the patients to their respective rooms and make sure everyone gets their dinner--which is, by the way, chicken teriyaki and assorted tempura, along with rice and miso soup--before they retire for the night. A vegetarian substitute is of course available, and we have our usual assortment of drinks; we also have a special of hot green tea to go along with the meal.
"Thank you, everyone, for an exceedingly pleasant day, and our therapy sessions will continue tomorrow as scheduled. Enjoy your dinner, and I will be on again before bedtime to say goodnight."
The announcement ended.
[ As always, individual dinner threads go in response to this post, and it helps to put your character's room number in the subject line. Thanks! ]

Re: F29
When she cracked open her eyes, oh, she noticed all right. Yukari could see her face better this time; she wasn't crazy, her eyes truly did flare up into that unusually blue color, and her... those...
A monster. They really did put her in the same room as a monster.
Yukari tightened her own grip more, as much as she could, trying to so much as being able to breathe easier.
Re: F29
Not that humans could do that much damage to her.
Turning Yukari's head to the side, she reached out to clutch her shoulder with her free hand, exposing the neck and a new patch of skin to her teeth. It really was strange... knowing she'd fed from this source more than once, and it was not from a Chevalier. Well, whatever. It wasn't like Diva had wanted to be interrupted by the staff members and sedatives...
She leaned forward, intending to bite.
Re: F29
Yukari fought all she could against Diva's whims, but her strength alone was proving not to be enough. It was no wonder, now; before, Yukari had thought it to be strange she was having so much difficulty holding her own. That was when she thought of Diva as a person (she couldn't say a 'normal' one, it was obvious from the start her mind certainly didn't work normally), she had to have been, those nurses called her by a name and treated her like every other patient in the building. Nobody treated a monster like that.
Clearly, Landel's was throwing yet another curve ball at her.
She couldn't end up like yesterday. With the night drawing near, would she even have the lucky break of a nurse barging in like they did before? No-- she couldn't rely on the staff, not the same people who imprisoned her here. So long as she was alive, she could keep fighting back somehow until it was possible to escape.
Yukari finally let go, deciding to take a page out of Diva's book before she got what she wanted. With the arm she could move the easiest, Yukari swung a clenched fist towards the other's head. It was a move she didn't think she had in her to perform, one that would hopefully work when her face was pressed in the other direction.
Re: F29
"And to think you were too stupid to take my offer," Diva hummed lightly, as though her head hadn't just been knocked ajar. Then she moved, quicker than normal, pressing herself flush against Yukari's body, knees digging in to the other's legs to try and ward off any kicking. In other time, kicking might have been bad. It might have ripped the hem of a dress. "It'll all be over soon," she whispered, a sing-song quality to her tone. The words were spoken right before she ducked her head forward again, biting at her prize.
Re: F29
It was the same all over again, and Yukari couldn't have felt any more pathetic about it. She couldn't even hold back the pained gasp when Diva bit, or hide her shaky, heavy breaths. Her entire body was trembling, fear overpowering any rational thought she could conjure.
Stop, stop, stop, stop! Yukari could only repeat it in her head, praying a miracle would happen and her new mantra would come true. It couldn't be over soon, she didn't want it to be, she absolutely could not die now!
Her legs may have been pinned against the wall, but it seemed as though Diva still left at least one arm completely free. The other was somewhat difficult to move, with the shoulder pressed against as well, though it wasn't completely immobilized. Whether it would have made her new injury worse or not, Yukari lifted her arms the best she could and pressed against Diva's chest, trying to pry her away.
