Renji shot Daemon an annoyed look. "Want me to do it again, then?" he growled. "Next time if you don't want to get healed, don't look so fucking pathetic."

Daemon snorted. "I wasn't attempting to, believe me," he returned. "The loss of my craft caught me by surprise. It's weakened me. Either that, or there are still sedatives lingering in my system."

"Right," Renji said, with that special note to his tone that said no, he didn't necessarily believe him. It was mostly in jest.

He relaxed a little now that Daemon wasn't being quite so weird. "Maybe you should just stay in tonight, then."

Renji had relaxed a little and Daemon laughed at the comment, shooting the redhead a sideways glance, a teasing quirk tilting up the corner of his lips. "Why, Renji, are you worried about me?" he chuckled, warm amusement in his tone.

Renji gave Daemon a narrow-eyed look. "Why do you keep doing that?" he demanded. He didn't even know what exactly "that" was, but whatever it was, he wanted Daemon to stop it. It was... weird. And... other things he didn't want to think about. He scrubbed at his face with one hand.

Daemon arched an eyebrow as he blinked at him, face carefully expressionless other than a look of bemused curiosity.

"Doing what?"

"That. You know... that." Renji said. He was sadly lacking in the vocabulary he needed. Or not necessarily the vocabulary, but the desire to touch this one subject. "Like... you keep giving me this weird smile. What the hell is your problem?"

"It's the same smile I've always given you," Daemon replied, looking a bit more bewildered this time. "I don't have a problem. Am I not to smile at you any more?"

There wasn't a whole lot he could say to that. Not without getting really weird on his own. It was too confusing. He put his face in his hands. "Never mind," he muttered. "It's just my headache." It was as good of an excuse as any.

Daemon chuckled faintly, staring up at the ceiling. "You're still unsettled about the other night, aren't you? Don't worry about it so much. What happened... well, you were meant to enjoy it. Even if... we never finished. I regret that I wasn't entirely myself, but there's no fault in responding to pleasure."

His room was the second one in the numbers assigned; River paused to ponder whether or not that had some sort of significance but decided against it when it caused a dull ache to stab at her brain parts. There didn't seem to be sounds of a scuffle, and the little girl wished and wished again that she'd gotten her stars back. To find the door open to a gentle push, she took a moment to smile back at Lucivar before stepping in...

...to see something that felt every bit of the everything that confounded her. It broke her mind, in ways she wasn't entirely sure were unpleasant even innocent as their respective positioning seemed. And there really was no other choice but to squeak out a yelp and bound behind Lucivar to hide.

Lucivar was very confused as River jumped behind him. He didn't see what was so strange. It was just a room with two men sitting closely on the bed... Two men and one of them being Daemon and judging from the red head's expression there was something not so innocent about their positions.

"Interrupting something, Bastard?" Lucivar drawled, wondering just what sort of temperament his brother would be in. He didn't have the sleepy look that the Sadist usually wore which was a very good sign. He wasn't in the mood to tangle with him tonight.

"It's alright, River," Lucivar said, turning to look over his shoulder at the girl behind him. "I'll protect you from the frightening men and their strange habits."

Renji's shoulders crept rapidly up toward his ears. First Daemon had to come out and say that, which was not okay, and he really was about to punch the guy... and then in came River. And... Lucivar.

He could also feel, just by the heat, that his face had gone red. Though thankfully that was hidden by his hands. But it meant he wasn't going to stand up until that bit of humiliation had subsided.

"I'll get you for this," he muttered, quietly enough for just Daemon to hear. "And then I won't heal you."

Daemon couldn't help it; he started laughing. Able to see how red the tips of Renji's ears were, the Warlord Prince pushed himself up into a sitting position to shoot a smirk at his brother in the doorway, giving the redhead a moment to compose himself once more.

"Perfect timing as ever, Prick," he drawled in return, his tone wry with amusement as he met his brother's golden gaze, then it lowered to the face peeking out from behind him, his expression softening into a smile. "Good evening, Lady. Is everything alright?"

She'd always thought them a curse, the eyes that could see everything in it's place three or four steps from where they were presently. It had been the reason and the cause for nearly all of her torment, now here was a mess laid firmly in lap. If only she'd seen in coming... The questions it sparked did nothing to ease her aching head, and Daemon's words coupled with Renji's reaction just cemented what she suspected in her safe place behind Lucivar.

"They were engaging in homosexual intercourse!" came the frantic and startlingly clear exclamation from behind Lucivar. Oh no, River wasn't coming out any time soon.

Lucivar howled with laughter, tears forming in his eyes. "It certainly seems that way," he remarked, grinning at his brother. Oh, he knew he was most likely making things worse as he seriously doubted Daemon had actually engaged his own body in any sort of sexual act. There may have been something going on but Daemon didn't need to use his physical body to create pleasurable sensations.

Of course, with their powers severely limited...

Lucivar coughed as he sought to get himself under control once more. He turned to River who certainly seemed distressed about the revelation. "Lady, they are far too clothed to be involved in anything other then a mere kiss. I think it is safe to say that we've interrupted before either of them engaged in any sort of intercourse. Their innocence is still intact. At least, as far as I know."

"WHAT?" Red face or no, Renji was on his feet in a moment, hands clenched at his sides. "How can you even say that? I don't -- we --- what --" It ended up in something like a frustrated howl. "I would not be so unfaithful! River--"

He ran out of things to say. So he kicked over the desk.

"Now don't do that," Daemon chided mildly, doing his best to stifle his mirth... and failing horribly.

"The desk never did anything to you."

"It could've been a quickie!" River insisted, still hiding in a small bundle of girl behind Daemon's brother. They were all so amused, but the matter was actually quite traumatic. "Daemon's been sedated, and Renji always rushes in swinging anyway!"

Lucivar coughed as the thought of Daemon being quick at anything in the bedroom was laughable. "If there's one thing Daemon knows is how not to rush," Lucivar mused. "It's not what he was trained for, after all."

He looked over at the overturned desk and back up at Renji, smiling. "Making a mess isn't going to help your case," he said. "You're only proving the lady's point."

His temper was willing to continue; the entire situation, the humiliation of it, was pissing him off. But the flesh was still quite, pathetically weak. Renji rounded on Lucivar to say something, and the room just kept going around. He stumbled a step, grabbed unsuccessfully at thin air, and then simply fell over.

He was lucky enough to not hit his head on anything on his way down, but it didn't change the fact that his ears were ringing and for the moment his vision had gone dark.

Daemon's laughter stopped abruptly as Renji swayed, and then he was on his feet, catching the redhead on the way down, a concerned frown on his face as the Shinigami lost his consciousness for a moment. "Stupid, stubborn idiot," he snarled out in exasperation with a roll of his eyes as he braced himself against the bed, supporting the other man in his arms.

"I told you you shouldn't have healed me. Lucivar, help me get him on the bed, would you?" Daemon grumbled, torn between amusement and exasperation as he staggered under the other man's weight, his own strength not what it normally was.

River peered from her safe zone to watch as Renji passed out right then and there. Naturally, she was concerned, but everything... all of it, and the fact that her brains wouldn't give her a straight answer. It was too much. Upon hearing her protective barrier commissioned to help with the arrangement of the Renji, she tore across the room to dive under the desk, curled up in a small ball as she watched the scene unfold intently.

At least no one was laughing anymore. River didn't even notice as her lower lip stuck out in the same pout she'd given Lucivar earlier.

"Mother Night," Lucivar snarled, seeing Daemon bow under the weight of Renji which shouldn't have happened. He rushed over to help and gritted his teeth when he realized that even he was straining to lift Renji.

"Ow," Lucivar said, something bumping hard against his leg. "What-"

He pulled out a large weapon wrapped in a sheet and gave Daemon a curious look. "Where did he get this? Do you know?"

"There are weaponsmiths here, I've heard," Daemon answered with a grunt as the pair of them maneuvered the redhead onto his bed once more. "Either that or he found it in the same place he found his clothing from home. I'm not sure."

He leaned over the Shinigami worriedly, automatically watching for the rise and fall of his chest to make sure he was alright.
