Nightshift 27: Hallway Outside M81-M120 Block
[From here]
Scar stumbled into yet another empty hallway. The nurse had taken him into the right direction this morning, which had led to the sun room and all the other connecting rooms. He wondered what happened to be located in the opposite direction.
Continuing, the king eventually noticed the door at the end of the hall. Fiddling around with the handle, he managed to push it open and felt the cold breeze from outside on his skin.

No one was in the hallway yet. Nothing either. A slam at the end of the hallway caused Heiji to nearly jump out of his skin. Oh... he hadn't noticed the door at the end of the hallway before.
"Get a grip," he muttered, and continued down the hallway.

Once again, the Myopic Amazon found himself in an empty hallway. This was really starting to confuse him. Where were all the other patients? He could hear their voices, but so far he had yet to encounter them.
Curious.
Still drawn to the voices, Mousse headed through another door.

Danny wandered further away from his room, trying to get somewhere where he would see at least something. Everywhere he went there were bustling people moving about, but he didn't know why. Okay, well, he did, but still.
He stopped and stood around, trying to figure out where he was, and where he could keep going.

More doors, more places to go. At least Rockfort had some sort of organization - this place seemed like an eternal labyrinth. It looked like he would just have to guess as to where to go next.
"My mother told me to pick the very best one and this is who she..." Steve hesitated. "-picks!"
And to the door he went.

This stretch of hallway was a lot quieter than the last, with no one standing around talking.
He paused for a moment, focusing on his enhanced sense of hearing to listen for anything in the hallway that he hadn't seen. His sight wasn't nearly as good as Recluse's in the dark.

This all would have been so different if he had his costume, and he wondered what that said about him.
So how many people were they meeting? Peter wasn't even sure, but it wasn't like it was his call, anyway. He would just go along for now, and he could always bail if he decided he didn't like where things were going. He knew he should be more trusting of Logan, but it wasn't easy when he still essentially barely knew the man.
When Statesman contested Logan's age, though, Peter did have a hold back a snicker. He knew how old the man was, and he doubted the other "Hero" could compare.

Now a choice in direction. There was an obvious doorway open to his right, or a long dark hallway to his left. As he recalled, the hallway to the left would lead him outside, to the playing field where he'd seen men fighting dog monsters of some sort. Dog monsters were entertaining enough, but he had work to do. Right it was.

Phibrizzo darted into this hallway from the other and moved quickly, trying to put some distance between himself and Zelgadis should the other finish his conversation and move on. Wasting no time, the Mazoku lord ducked into another door.

The door opened out into a wider hallway, just as dark as the last. Another door was to his right, this time wide open.
Maybe these halls would feel more at home if he could feel the smoothed down surface of ancient stones beneath his feet. But this place was too foreign and too sterile to invite any familiar thoughts. He stepped through the door to the next corridor, remembering each step it took to get him here.

Naoto turned toward the door Naoya indicated on the map, it would hopefully lead outside, where he could double back around and come in again. The door was already open...someone was outside already, then.

Unlike his own hallway, the one outside the block was almost empty, save for one or two people mulling about down the passage. It made the hallway as a whole darker and less fun to navigate, but hey... At least he wasn't running into a murder or tripping over a sex scene. Just what kind of psychopaths were brought here anyway? It kinda made him worried about his friends' safety. Not Heero (he could certainly handle himself...), but Relena's and maybe Quatre's.
With that on his mind, he quickened his pace down the hall...

Getting out of the block was simple enough, and the exterior hallway was almost entirely emptied out already. Raiden as accustomed to moving around at night compared to everyone else, and he figured that was why he seemed to be getting a slow start.
It was better to take things slow in a situation like this, wasn't it? He wasn't working under any ridiculous time limit - as far as he knew, there weren't any bombs counting down. It was certainly a nice change compared to the constant stress he had been under at Big Shell.
He looked over his map, considering which way to go. He was going to have to go around, and since he hadn't been outside yet, he figured cut through the recreational field was the best option. It might be faster, anyway, since it probably wouldn't be as crowded as the hallways.
Raiden tucked the map away and then turned left, heading for the door at the end of the hall.

This hallway was a little quieter, and Kain stopped to look both ways. If he went through the closest doorway he'd be near the women's rooms, and as much as he wanted to find his cousin he didn't want to run into Diva again.
He had to go the other way and hope there was a way to where he wanted to go.

Mason was still in considerable pain, which was weird, because he was supposed to not have to suffer all those achy little living annoyances, at least not to the same extent that the living did. At least his bruises should be healing by now, but every time he poked his cheek, it was as swollen and tender as ever. Feeling grouchy, Mason turned right and continued on.

Scar, not quite experienced with the concept of doors, had used his full weight in pushing it open. As a result, he lost his balance as he stumbled back inside, instinctively trying to latch onto something to prevent him from falling. His right hand eventually found the wall, his nails scratching on its surface but failing to prevent him from nearly falling over. He landed on hand and knees.
If the king hadn't been too busy to progress what he had just seen and smelled, he would have been embarrassed at his clumsiness.
He managed to return to his feet, still using the wall as support. He leaned against it, waiting for the other patient to catch up with him. He could barely believe what he had just seen.
What was the meaning of it?!

Trapped within his thoughts as he moved back indoors, he ignored the way that the lion fumbled with their alien body, and instead walked up to stand beside Scar. Glancing up at the much taller figure, his amber eyes were sharp and his brows furrowed.
“If you’re going to be any use within these walls, you’ll need to gain control of your balance and do so quickly.” He bluntly stated, “It’s not difficult to learn to walk like a human while in their form.”

He could tell generally at what direction the cafeteria and sun room had been, and so he headed there. Whatever this hell would have to offer, all the action would probably center around... the center. It was just logic that way.
He waved the flashlight about him as he advanced, completely unbothered by the general horror flick mood floating about this place. Someone was all too fond of genre movies, he mused as he went along, strolling lazily.

Except for two others, nobody was in the hall. And it didn't look like the company was interested in them at all.
The door was up ahead. Jean waved everyone forward and eased the door open with her leg.

Kaoru was bored. All this stupid snooping about to go and collect Hikaru. He was going to talk to Washu about this. They boys needed to be closer to one another. Maybe he could try and compromise and agree not to share a room, but to be next door at least. And later he'd get the same room.
Boredom, however, was beaten by fear. Kaoru was in the same area he'd been when he'd met the ghost. He shivered. Stupid creepy thing. Kaoru pouted and folded his arms, keeping his torch on, but letting it point to the side, tucked under his arm. He'd be with Hikaru soon and that would make everything better. For now he'd ignore the fact that he was in a messed up place with messed up monsters. They wouldn't hurt him if he denied their existence.

Humming a little under his breath, Aziraphale continued his way forward, oblivious to his surroundings, seeking only to catch one whiff of brimstone. After all, if Crowley wasn't here, perhaps he'd been demoted again, a thought which Aziraphale took little comfort in. In any case, best to continue onward, using the gleam of other torches to find his way, as he'd foolishly left his own light back in his room, and he couldn't seem to glow the way he usually did when he wanted for light. No matter.

"Diva, put on the brakes! It's too dangerous, 'n there's also the fact you could fall and hurt yourself, way you're flyin'." A relatively tetchy expression told a witness everything they needed to know – Dean was not happy.
An immediate advantage the man had here was a greater height, therefore longer legs, and this enabled him to catch up and tap the girl's right shoulder. "Wait." The others, he thought with a grimace, weren't in rear view yet.

To Sam's question, Rika just gave a slight shake of her head. She did know one other person... more of, she met Peony, and that was it. Other than that, everyone else was a stranger to her, including the group she was with now.
"I only met a man named Peony, during the day. He was very kind. He warned me about the monsters," She told him, letting Sam knew what she knew. "He also told me not to go out alone... but I didn't find anyone else to go with. So I'm very glad that Dean found me, mii~."

Obi-Wan stayed close to Qui-Gon's side as they ventured out into the hallway. As usual, various prisoners were wandering through the area, set on their own goals and agendas for the night. He could only hope people made progress, though he knew the fact their captors often abducted people for experiments was probably a set-back for quite a few groups.
"If they've been keeping to the pattern, I don't think we'll run into any brain-washed patients tonight," he remarked quietly. True, that only meant someone was being locked up and tortured somewhere probably, but Obi-Wan didn't want to have to worry about harming any prisoners himself. He knew there were rescue groups seeing to those who'd been taken anyway.
Right now, they needed to focus on getting themselves better armed so they could hopefully be of some use later on.

Gods, but having to travel so far was a miserable pain. The women's rooms weren't so large. Odd, how many men there were.
"The courtyard isn't very far from the men's barracks," she called over her shoulder, not minding taking the lead at all.
