Kaoru was bored. All this stupid snooping about to go and collect Hikaru. He was going to talk to Washu about this. They boys needed to be closer to one another. Maybe he could try and compromise and agree not to share a room, but to be next door at least. And later he'd get the same room.
Boredom, however, was beaten by fear. Kaoru was in the same area he'd been when he'd met the ghost. He shivered. Stupid creepy thing. Kaoru pouted and folded his arms, keeping his torch on, but letting it point to the side, tucked under his arm. He'd be with Hikaru soon and that would make everything better. For now he'd ignore the fact that he was in a messed up place with messed up monsters. They wouldn't hurt him if he denied their existence.
