Well, the noise would certainly alert anything already inside, but there wasn’t much to be done about, now was there? He stepped inside and to the left, searching the darkness for movement, but…

Nothing had immediately jumped out to latch onto his face. That was a plus.

“Looking for the things from your other life?” he asked, turning to regard Leon. The obvious question. The doll, at least, was a little curious what was in his own box ever since the last time he’d been in this room, but not everyone would share his blasé outlook on it. If anyone. Though who knew if Leon was even interested in his own stuff.

As Scar entered the room, he couldn't help but notice the drop in temperature compared to the hallway. Considering he wasn't used to this kind of temperature, he couldn't help but shudder a bit.

His cat-like eyes glanced around the room, taking note of the various - what was the name for these again? Cabinets? - lining the walls. He noticed the drawers were large enough for a human body to fit in, but the fact they were actually used for such a thing didn't even occur to him. There were two doors to their left.

He couldn't see any treats to speak of. He eventually glanced over his shoulder to see if a certain idiot was following. If the act of breaking down a door hadn't made enough noise, Mozenrath would certainly compensate.

Bella moved into the Chapel quietly, looking back every now and then to make sure that Rika and Edward were close behind. So far, so good. “See, Edward?” she said with a smile, lifting her pipe as a sign of victory and whatnot. Hey, she was proud of herself, god dammit! “I got us somewhere. And we weren’t even the least bit stopped by any sort of monster or anything!”

Bella grinned and moved more into the large room, her eyes peering around in silence.

Maybe their luck changing?

Chase slipped into the chapel, his lips pursed. He looked around, for the moment not seeing anything - after all, he was just barely inside.

He closed the door behind him and slowly stalked forward. Some nights ago, the voice on the radio had hinted to a treasure being hidden here. Had anybody gotten it? If not, would it still be here? If so, was there something else?

Damn it. Maybe this place hadn't been the best choice. After all, Chase had never been very religious. Sure, training at the temple meant he had followed the strict ordinances set by the superior monks, but religion? Not a very popular subject among the truly debased and amoral ...

This space. All around him, emptiness. Even his hushed, near-silent footsteps boomed with echo in the emptiness of the corridor; he stopped dead and listened hard.

There was something. Something moving along the corridor, slowly, regular. A scrape, like a wounded man dragging an injured leg. And he could feel something too - feel it, the heat in this cold space...

He gripped his pipe tightly, and ran as quietly as he could towards the nearest wall, bracing his body against it.

Was it coming closer?

Yuffie scrambled down the hallway as fast as she could, terrified of the thing, the monster, that she had just left behind. She definitely wasn't going to laugh at anyone ever again if they mentioned monsters in this place... Ever.

It wasn't until she was nearly halfway down the hallway that she stopped running, her heavy breathing becoming more painful with each breath. It was painful to swallow, probably even more so to speak if she'd had the courage to try. Running was only making it worse. And she certainly didn't want to run into anything else like that if she didn't have to...

Looking back over her shoulder, she waited for a few seconds to make sure she couldn't hear anything coming before leaning against the wall and sinking to the floor. Now that the initial panic was over, she was shaking from relief at having survived. That thing...whatever it was...was nowhere near being normal. Not even close.

Now more than ever, she just wanted to go home...

At the top of the stairs, things didn’t look any better to Rufus. Straining to hear or see anything, he stopped at the top of the stairs. Before he had never considered the dark worrisome. It was merely an absence of light. Anything that was there in the light was there in the night. Unfortunately, Landel’s had a way of changing that. Nasty things came out in the dark here.

Keeping his hand against the wall, he waited, half-expecting to hear Reno’s voice or that of some other Special Counseling patient from the nurse’s station where the Turk had been lurking last night. Biting his lower lip, Rufus took a careful step forward and waited again. He was more secure with the stairs at his back, ready to get back down them as fast as he possibly could if he heard anything that sounded remotely bad.

Should have gotten some backup.

He agreed with that thought, but last night he had gotten bogged down and accomplished nothing. He didn’t plan on making the same mistake twice. He had to get himself and Reno armed, especially with Kadaj all stirred up and Yazoo being here. If they had weapons, they stood a better chance of not ending up crippled or worse as Elena had been.

Where Reno had been standing last night was probably his best bet, even if the doors were locked again. Reno had to come from somewhere after they had brainwashed him. Hopefully it was somewhere close to where he had been standing. Whoever had done that to his Turk had re-armed the man with his own weapons. With luck, he might find his guns or something else useful.

Pushing the door open, Kurama was surprised to find himself stepping out into the dark night, cool air meeting his skin and giving the redhead goosebumps. Almost surprised enough to forget his present annoyance with Karasu. Almost.

He couldn't see very far, even with the flashlight's slim beam spilling light onto the ground ahead. Not far enough to see a fence, at least. Still, it couldn't possibly have been that easy to leave this building... This must be some sort of outdoor enclosure, he figured.

Advancing a few yards more, he caught sight of white markings on the ground then the vague outlines of metal and netting. Of course... were the boy's thoughts, realizing that he'd found a soccer goal. It was a sports field. Still, they were outside at the very least, which was closer to being free than being inside. He'd have to remember this for later when he found Ginji. Perhaps they could yet escape...

The day had been a long one. Roy groaned as he stepped into the Game Room - he hadn't even eaten at lunch, too distracted by Elena's discovery and then Greed's (and his own) outburst. A nap sounded fantastic, but he doubted his body would cooperate and actually let him sleep, as tired as he physically felt.

Somehow, he couldn't help ignoring the thought that if he wasn't part-homunculus, he would be even more fatigued.

Surprised to see he was the first in the room, the colonel figured he would actually make use of the facilities. He had to dig around a bit, but he eventually found a chess board. Smirking to himself, he sat down at a table and unfolded the set, placing the pieces on their proper spots.

He ran his thumb and forefinger over the white king piece. It was a goal he'd been pulled away from, but he'd get back to it. There was no doubt of that.

Then again, how would a half-homunculus Fuhrer be received? Especially after the entire fiasco with Bradley...

It was better not to think too hard on it. Roy started to play a practice game against himself. If someone else came over and wanted to join him, that would be all the better.

Time for lunch.

Nothing new there. It was at the same time, in the same place, but it was far from ordinary today. Sure, it was the Halloween celebration, or whatever the man announcing the daily activities had gone on about, but that was the least of Zexion's concerns. Rather, his attire was his new source of distress.

After showering, he had discovered the plain grey uniform he had become somewhat accustomed to was gone, for the most part. One of the nurses explained his wardrobe change was a gift from his.. family?

That was an astounding lie. He had to wonder, was there really an outside source responsible for all of this, or was it all an excuse to humiliate them?

While grudgingly attempting to puzzle out the costume, he asked every question he could think of concerning his 'family'-- what were their names, where did they live, what did they look like, etc. Sadly, all of his inquiries were cheerily brushed off, and he was led away to the cafeteria once he had dressed himself.

Naturally, he was not pleased once he arrived, looking like.. some.. humanoid penguin-dolphin thing in a beige coat.

Ugh. The shame.

So far, Naminé's excursion outside of her room had been relatively safe. Maybe her theory about the monsters having no interest in Nobodies was true. Well, there was no need for Naminé to try and press her luck. The layout here seemed different too... She sighed into the empty hallway. All that work she put into memorizing the layout proved futile; did the building shift every night? Was it impossible to get an accurate map of Landels?

"H-Hello? Anyone?" Naminé called out to the darkness, against her better judgement. Her flashlight beam skipped across the floor and the walls, but it revealed nothing. No monsters, but no people either.

If only she could use the Corriders of Darkness! The portals refused to materialize even in the night; without the most basic abilities of all Nobodies, Naminé felt.. no, she was utterly helpless and defenseless.
