Night 44: Grand Ballroom
[From here]
Dahlia made her way over to the fountain first thing and went to sit down next to it. Believe it or not, her feet were still aching from last night and just because this room never stopped being gorgeous did not mean she stopped being sensible. If there was something going on soon, she needed to be ready for it.
Hmph. More like ready to push either one of these brats into the fray instead of dealing with it herself. Either or, she'd need to rest for a little while. May as well drop her bag for now while she was at it, too; the strap was bugging the bandaged gash along her back.
She wasn't dumb though. She kept one of her hands on it just in case someone got grabby.
"So, um." She brought her other hand to her mouth, thinking to herself. Did she dare ask now? Or was Syncie going to keep some more secrets from her? "What do we do now?"

Following the contour of the room, Sakura, Yue, and Touya passed the door they had entered previously and ended up at the door at the opposite end of the hall. Even before they had gotten close, the door looked magnificent. Carved with marble angels, Sakura couldn't help but gasp in amazement as they approached. As she observed the doors, her eyes were eventually drawn to two indentations. Once they were in reach of the doors, Sakura went over each indentation with her hand.
"Does something go here?" she asked, still staring at the indentations.

"Probably," Touya said, gently putting a hand on Sakura's to try to get her to stop touching the creepy door. For all he knew, it'd open and suck them all in if it was touched.
He looked over his right shoulder at the door opposite the one they went through a few nights ago. That one had angels on it too, but he didn't feel as... uncomfortable looking at that one.
"Let's try that door over there, I think this one needs keys of some kind. One of the openings looks like it needs that weird sword we got the other night." He turned at looked at Yue, "You still have that, right?"

Perhaps the other object was what they needed to obtain from whatever lay beyond the opposite door. That could explain why two of the doors looked near-identical but this one was different: the rooms had to be visited in turn? It seemed logical enough.
Yue nodded slightly to Touya's question, still frowning thoughtfully at the door for a moment longer. "It returned with me." And was currently hidden in his closet, behind Yukito's stash of snacks, because he hadn't thought it terribly useful.
The guardian finally turned away and started toward the next door without looking back, knowing that the other two would follow. He was impatient, restless with the need to accomplish something tonight; he wanted to get both Sakura and Touya away from here and out of danger as quickly as he possibly could.
