Nighshift 41: F21-30 Hallway
Franziska did not trust her roommate, which was just fine with her, since it seemed that Maki Shouko did not trust Franziska either. There was something about her protective nature that brought out the worst in Franziska's investigative nature. Pulling the truth from Maki Shouko would have to wait, however, until Franzika was better armed with evidence and proof that she was, in fact, something more than a mere unemployed, ex-psychologist homemaker. Taking her journal, her flashlight and her radio, Franziska made a note of the night's announcement and then headed outside.
Only to find it entirely blacked out.
So this was the night that people spoke of with such terror? A little bit of dark wasn't going to kill anyone. Pathetic. Flicking on her flashlight, she noted that the beam was unusually weak against the dark and scoffed. Giving the inmates sub-par equipment would need to be added onto the list of complaints when she lodged her class action suit against Martin Landel.
Heading down the hall, Franziska recalled the map she'd seen in her head. She needed to go and find the second floor, get to the patient possessions room, retrieve her whip and then she'd take this place by storm.

Outside F29
Amada was going to be bringing her what he had and she had to let Yukari know she was in the clear.
Once the doors opened, Falis gave Senna a wild grin and a wink before she headed to the end of the hallway. Stopping outside F29, she casually rest her katana on her shoulder and leaned against the wall next to the door. Eventually Yukari would come out.
Re: Outside F29
Regardless, Yukari didn't want to hold her up, so she took the time to quickly prepare after eating her dinner to change into her school uniform and gather her bow and necessary materials. The night finally came, and quickly she exited.
Only to find that familiar face right in front of her door. Again. Yukari held back an annoyed sigh as she spoke up; "What are you..." Oh, wait. She had something she wanted to tell her, wasn't there? Yukari guessed this would be the easiest place for Falis to find her. She quickly corrected herself; "What is it?"
Re: Outside F29
"Don't worry, I'm not here to bite you," Falis replied with a bit of a chuckle. She didn't move from where she was leaning against the door and narrowed her eyes just slightly as she searched the ones of the girl before her. Annoyance, yes, but control. They hadn't changed at all in the time Falis had been keeping Yukari in her sights.
"I've found another that has been fed upon by the fucking blood sucker that you were locked in with, bitten after you," Falis informed Yukari, her expression shifting to something quite serious. "He's starting to turn. You know what that means?"
Re: Outside F29
The silence said all, in the end; Yukari didn't want to admit to anything out loud, whether it was about Falis being right or anything else about this whole ordeal.
Re: Outside F29
The hunter was glad the other girl had looked away as the brief flicker of surprise in Falis' eyes was not seen. For a moment, the compassion hidden away in her heart peeked its head up and she sighed.
"Didn't you hear what I said, Yukari?" Falis asked, her voice holding the barest hint that she wasn't always the big bad bounty hunter with the foul mouth she usually presented to everyone. "He was bitten after you."
She reached a hand out to touch Yukari's shoulder. "Look at me," she said, then paused a moment. "You're not going to turn. You're safe."
Re: Outside F29
Just as she said-- but not because she said to-- Yukari shot her eyes back up at Falis; she didn't even hide the moment of surprise her face held. "But-- wait, didn't you just say..."
Then she frowned, that all too familiar bout of annoyance showing again. "Great, thanks," she responded half-heartedly. "I have to go somewhere now. I don't want to think about this anymore."

It was perfectly okay for Junpei to skip, like, once or twice when humming that jaunty tune. No one could tell him otherwise without a boot to the head. Okay, Chidori could, but she was special.
Speaking of his redheaded girlfriend, Junpei came to a stop outside her room and knocked. "Yo, Chidori! Your hunk of a man is here to sweep you off your feet and... get some pipes."
Okay, that sounded kinda lame. Maybe Chidori wouldn't comment on the lameness. Maybe she was wearing his jersey like he'd asked her to. Sure, it was huge on her, but there was just something about her that looked good in his shirt...
Re: F21
Re: F21
Junpei trailed his fingers through Chidori's hair. "Yeah, okay, you're right, but I was liking the idea of anyone that sees you tonight knowing that you're my girlfriend since that jersey has my name on the back."
He smiled. "Wear it later?"
Re: F21
And on that note, "My roommate said we should go on a date on the field trip tomorrow."
Re: F21
Her roommate said?
"We can. I dunno what we can do there, since I've no clue what there is, but if you want to..." He grinned. "Maybe they'll let us have regular clothes instead of these," he added on plucking at his shirt. He then started picturing all the various outfits Chidori could possibly wear.

That had been amusing.
Falis returned to her room, leaving her door open, and waited for Amada to show. While she waited, she practiced her sword work, each cut of her blade smooth and powerful.

And among the furtive voices she could clearly hear the steady repeating sound of a sword splitting air. From further down the corridor... out of her way, yes, but she was only being led by a whim tonight anyway.
The vampire stalked down the hall, coming to a halt outside the open door. The legends said a vampire couldn't enter the home of another uninvited, but like most such traditional limitations it didn't apply to Evangeline. Neither did practical concerns like the wisdom of approaching someone who was swinging a sword around. But the door way framed the scene nicely, an appropriate way of watching, for her.

"Who's there?"
It wasn't Amada, to be sure.

"I heard a nice sound and thought I'd come to watch, too," she said, more or less honestly. She had some minimal respect for serious warriors, at least until they said any of the many things she'd strip them of it for.

"You have good taste," Falis replied. She turned and fluidly moved back into her basic forms, warming her muscles up and calming her mind so she'd be prepared when it was time to go meet that blowhard.
"I don't fucking care if you watch, but mind my blade," she replied. It wasn't as if she was displaying anything specific of her style. "Should you step inside my range I may choose not to stop the blade."

outside F30
His foot coverings were making small squishy sounds every time he took a step. If he had been back in his normal chassis, he wouldn't have cared quite so much. Especially if the squishy sound could be explained away by the fact that he had just stepped in someone. But unfortunately, neither was the case.
HK found the proper door and stood slightly back, not knowing the meatbag who was supposed to be in here. But they were supposed to somehow make him a weapon out of these currently terrible-smelling pipes, so he'd forgive them any other shortcomings they might have as long as he got his shiny new implement of utter destruction.
Re: outside F30
"Should you make a snide comment regarding the Norn's appearance, I will reroute your internal processor so you'll sing show tunes hand-in-hand with SubZero," she said in a low voice to HK-47.
F30
"Hi," she said when she opened the door, stepping aside to let them in. She had everything set up, since she'd had a while to wait.
Re: F30
Well, now that he was limited to not insulting the meatbag who opened the door, he didn't have all that much he could say. "Greeting: Hello, meatbag!" Hopefully, the terrifying one would remember that it wasn't an insult. He had to say it. And he wanted to say it, which was more important.
Re: F30
"Don't mind him," she continued after the droid's typical greeting. "He's a droid that has certain parameters he has to follow, so enjoy being a meatbag like the rest of us." The assassin entered the room and gave Skuld a tiny hidden smile before the cold expression settled on her face.
"Where should he put the metal?"

She wasted no time in gathering herself, her things, and hurrying out the door. Maybe, just maybe, everybody else would be late, too....

Oh, she knew she made decisions, and she had gone against orders, but it was the safety net of knowing she wasn't alone. She didn't have that anymore.
Well, first things first. She'd see if maybe she could find Matsuda. At least it was someone familiar. And...well...he didn't need to know about what had happened today. Naomi would take care of that herself.
Flashlight and radio equipped, Naomi headed out into the hallway.
