Night 41: Recreational Field
[From here]
Just as in the hallways inside the building, the field looked completely deserted. von Karma saw not a single person nor creature upon it. Far to the northwest was his destination: an old supply shed that contained items that he would find marginally useful to defend himself -- at least until he could acquire something better. As much as he dreaded making that trek once again to that filthy, dusty old structure, he headed for it, keeping under the cover of the shadows of the main building. As he did so, he warily looked around for signs of potential danger, gripping his flashlight tightly in his hand in case of a sudden attack.

Beyond the door, Kino hadn't been expecting to find herself outside; another hall, or perhaps a room, but the sudden gust of fresh air came as a surprise. A refreshing one, to say the least, as so many darkened halls could become stuffy after a while.
Taking in a breath of air, Kino scanned across the unfamiliar field; it was completely empty, save for the shed, the surrounding walls, and ... Ah, what was this? After looking a bit more carefully, she realized she wasn't as alone as she thought. Across the way there were two figures, and although it was hard to make out exactly who they were in the darkness (and the flashlight hardly reached so far), one of them was definitely ... odd. It was difficult to pinpoint precisely what was about them, but more unfamiliarity than usual struck Kino.
Whatever it was, it was pointing a weapon at the girl. She walked right into a fight, it seemed, and whether it was out of curiosity or something else entirely, Kino watched the events happening before her.
This must have been one of the dangers she was told about.

That weapon looked like it could do a lot of things, but it certainly looked like it was a ranged weapon. She quickly went over the chances of her ability to dodge it and then the potential consequences on her body if she used her kidou to deflect whatever attack that weapon was used for. The odds weren't very good either way she looked at it. She could use shunpou once more, but that would leave her practically helpless on the other side of the wall for at least ten minutes and with the creatures on that side...
Damn this place. Damn Landel to Hell.
Movement from the building briefly caught Momo's attention and she glanced over to see another before refocusing on the metal man.
"No," she stated as she crouched down, placing her hand that still beared a cast on it to the ground. "I have no intention of deviating from my chosen path simply because you tell me to. Intimidation and threats only work on someone that has something to lose."

"You really don't want to test my patience, human," The bounty hunter growled at her. "Don't make me have to toss you back to the other side of the field." Electricity surged through the spike, and he fired a paralyzing bolt at the human.

Turning back was an obvious option. After all, if she did, confrontation could easily be avoided and in the end, no harm would be done to her. And when all her weaponry was gone save for a flashlight and a few pens, this was an outcome Kino would have preferred. However ... she wasn't sure if the attacker was intending to kill-- he most likely would be doing a whole lot worse much quicker if that were the case-- but the sooner the girl could get out of her predicament, the better.
Kino may have been a bystander most of the time, but it didn't mean she didn't mind watching others get hurt, or worse. So she decided to do something before it got to that.
"You there," she called, once she approached closer-- and was once again surprised to see the attacker didn't look very human at all. More mechanical, if anything; did this mean a machine was turning against a person? "Don't do anything more to her."

A few swift words under her breath and a weaving of her reiatsu brought something that appeared to be more a thickening of the air than the spiritual energy it really was before the shinigami. As if it was an extension of her arm, Momo swept it across to deflect the majority of the electrical discharge from the metal man. Gritting her her teeth, Momo felt her muscles jerk from the shock that did make it through, forcing her to put both hands on the ground and drawn in a few deep breaths. She was very dizzy, but she wasn't sure how much was from her kidou and how much was from the electricity.
As it was, she could feel her shoulders twitching in small spasms thanks to that shock. She wasn't sure if she'd be able to get up when the metal man inevitably came at her again. Though it seemed someone else wished to get involved.
Momo hoped she would not be the cause of this brave soul's end.

He then turned his head towards the newcomer's voice. "Just try and stop me, human," He then smirked, "Unless you want to become my next plaything."
The bounty hunter turned back to the human he was currently occupied with. She was panting heavily, twitching, and looked like she would collapse at any minute. Wow, this was the easiest he'd had it all night. Lockdown hadn't even done that much to her. Perhaps she was just weaker than most humans? Or perhaps even her powers had something to do with it. Lockdown had heard of Transformers with powerful abilities that wore them out and drained their energy rapidly as they used them. Was this human like that too?
Lockdown knelt down, reached down and pinched the collar of her shirt with his large thumb and index finger, lifting her about a few meters off the ground. The Transformer looked at the other human who had entered the scene and smirked smugly at him, as if saying 'what are you gonna do about it?'

Momo could do nothing as the metal man grabbed her by the collar and lifted her off the ground. She coughed and spit out another mouthful of blood before assessing her situation. She was fairly certain this metal man was not one of the specialized monsters that roamed the halls. This one was probably a patient on special counseling given his attempt to coerce her back inside instead of just attacking her. That meant she didn't want to hurt him anymore than necessary.
Metal was conductive, so she could use one of her hadou spells to send a jolt through his circuits, but being he seemed somewhat robotic, that might do more damage than she intended. He was probably somewhat heat shielded, so fire wasn't much of an option, though she was a bit tempted to send a flame right into his face just to get him to drop her. But no, that would take too much energy. She'd have to use another option to get out of his grip.
Feeling like she had a decent enough control over her muscles, when the metal man looked over at the other who had come into the field, Momo quickly drew her sword just enough to cut the fabric of her uniform, freeing her from the metal man's grip. The landing jolted her legs, but the pain flaring up them sharpened her senses. Nothing did that like pain.
The small shinigami darted toward the wall again, her shirt hanging down in the back, before she whirled around and dropped to a knee. With a quick couple words, she cast one of the lower level binding spells. With the command, a glowing pink rope seemed to spring up from the ground, made of the vice captain's reiatsu, and wrapped tightly around the metal man's legs where it constricted.
"You! Get over the wall while I hold him," Momo called to the human that had been dragged into this. She coughed harshly, tasting blood again while it also dripped from her nose. The wall was closer than the door, so hopefully this human would listen.
How she wished she had Tobiume.

Kino stared impressively at the display of whatever strange performance the other girl had done, but whatever had caused it, she knew now wasn't the time to question it; apparently she had a few tricks up her sleeve that would allow them to flee the scene without anything worse happening. Which was good, because if she didn't, this would have been a much trickier situation to fix.
The wall? Kino glanced over at it questioningly before figuring out what was in mind-- over the wall wasn't exactly where she wanted to go, but there were probably other ways to get back in if she really needed to. At any rate, up would probably be their safest bet, and Kino started off with a few careful steps before hurrying over in its direction, passing closely by the girl.
"Hurry up, as well," Kino told her, gripping at anything that would allow her to scale the wall. "You're injured. I'll help you up."

Lockdown gave out a loud "huh?" when the glowing rope shot out of the ground and grunted in annoyance when it wrapped around his legs, sending him falling flat on his aft. This human was proving to be more troublesome than she let on.
He gripped the glowing, pink rope with his hook and tried to tug it off him, and raised his other hand to retract the spike again, shooting a few bolts at the two humans who were attempting to climb the wall.

The first one she dodged, but she had to slow down when she got to the wall. The girl was offering to help and Momo was starting to think she might need it, her adrenaline boost was starting to wear down. With a jump, the shinigami grabbed the vines on the wall and pulled herself up, reaching her casted hand up for the girl to grab a hold of. The second bolt hit and she wasn't sure if it actually hit her or the wall right next to her, but she felt the shock going up her leg and cried out a little at the sensation.
"Just pull," she told the girl, through gritted teeth. "My leg's not working right. I'll fall, but I'll be okay. I can't hold the bind much longer..." In a few seconds, it was going to dissipate thanks to the damn limiter on the gigai she was trapped in.

Finally reaching the top, Kino grabbed the girl's hand and pulled with as much force behind it as she could possibly muster. Just get over, and then they could worry about all the other things then.
"I'll be there to assist you down," Kino said, and then she made the fall down to the other side.

On one hand, going for lone inmates had prooven to be more fun and less trouble for him, while pairs usually had bad luck on them. The only pairs that had been remotely entertaining were the young man and blonde female, and the dark-haired girl and the other human with here who had just escaped. On the other hand, he was still convinced that going after groups would net him more rewards.
Decisions, decisions... Lockdown thought, transforming into car mode once more. He then decided to go for the lone figure, and revved his engine loudly as he drove to the other end of the field.
