Night 37: Main Hall 2-West
[from here]
Coming to a cross hallway, Falis stopped and knelt down again. In the darkness, she couldn't see where the hallway lead, nothing more than a few feet immediately in front of her. Unbeknown to her, the stairs she needed to go down to the first level were just to the right. Falis had the same feeling as she had back at that dead end, so she didn't think there was anything down that hallway.
Seeing some very faint light to the left, the hunter headed that way. Once she found light, she could get her bearings.

Fortunately, a lifetime of telepathy had taught Schuldig to expect questions regarding things only he was aware of, so he preempted any inquires with an almost immediate explanation. "That captain Arty is so fond of, the one who runs the arts and crafts club - he's about to die all the way on the other side of the damned building. And he's calling for me, of all people. What he thinks I can do about it from here, I've no idea..." He glared down the hallway in Hitsugaya's general direction, as if blaming the shinigami for his own lethal predicament - which, to some extent, he did. "There's no way any of us could get to him in time - not from this distance. Clearly it's 'Fuck With Fowl' night and nobody sent us our invitations, because this is just going to make everything so much more pleasant for him." And, by extension, for Schuldig, although the telepath at least had enough insight to realize that Haku would probably not have much sympathy for his grousing about how Artemis' trauma added to Schuldig's personal inconvenience, so he kept that to himself.
As irritating as it was, the simple fact of the matter was that there was nothing to be done for Hitsugaya. He honestly didn't give a damn about the captain for his own sake, but rather simply for the effect his death would have on Artemis, who did matter to Schuldig in his own aggravating way. And, as with all things that mattered to Schuldig, needed constant maintenance. This would only make that harder, but it was just something he was going to have to live with.
And Hitsugaya's stupidity of going off on his own was something the captain was just going to have to die with.
Having resolved that there was nothing they could do for Hitsugaya, Schuldig tuned him out in order to refocus on the matter at hand. "We're moving," he stated flatly. Whether or not Haku was in fact resolved to join them or not didn't make much difference to him at the moment, provided the boy stayed out of their way regardless.
