Day 37: Intercom, Evening
"And I believe it's time to start wrapping up the day," was what the Head Doctor said after the intercom's initial jingle. "Now that everyone's all cleaned up, I think it's time for some... that's right, dinner!
"Tonight, we're serving some scrumptuous rotisserie herb chicken, seasoned with rosemary, lemon juice, and other delicious seasonings. On the side, we have cooked asparagus with bits of grilled onion, as well as small roasted potatoes with garlic and butter; for dessert, we'll be serving vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup on top. Our normal assorted drinks and specialized diet alternatives are available.
"Some of you might find that you have new roommates since your old ones were fortunate enough to recover and leave us. Hopefully, you'll be able to see them again the next time we have visitors if you wish, but in the meantime please treat your new bunkmates kindly.
"I believe that's all for now. I hope you had a wonderful day and that you have a delicious dinner! ...Well, you'll definitely be having a delicious dinner, but there's nothing surprising about that, is there? Hahaha..."
With a seemingly good-natured chuckle, the Head Doctor turned off his mic.

He began eating, "Currently, I possess a box cutter, a knife, a sword, two rolls of duct tape, batteries, a hammer, a screwdriver, and pill bottles." Sousuke always kept a careful inventory of his supplies. Otherwise, he wouldn't know what he could use when a situation arose. "I am considering journeying over the wall tonight in search of a fire source and more supplies."

Hearing about Sousuke's supplies and plans caught his attention fully, and he turned again. "Sousuke, where did you get a sword? People are crazy for swords in this place!" It certainly seemed that way. Asking for one for Zoro was tempting... if he was sure Zoro was still around, sure Sousuke was offering things he genuinely didn't need and wasn't just offering in the idea of Usopp's work going easier, and if he was sure it was a katana. Not that Zoro couldn't use other swords, but... The rest he already had, except for a knife, and he reminded himself to ask Sousuke later where he'd found that prize. Sanji might like it too, if they succeeded in making a mini-grill. And he needed to ask about the medicine bottles, but before that...
"I went over the wall last night. It's... desolate out there. There's woods, and I saw a few things. An old abandoned mine, and what looked like a poison lake." Not that he'd gotten close enough to be sure. "I woke up before I could investigate further." Well, he'd practically fainted before he could investigate further, but morning had come too. "You'll find some trees, mostly dead, leading into rockier terrain, and it's more like winter weather for some reason. Wear an extra layer of clothes, maybe shoes too."
