Nightshift 35: West Wing, South Hall 1-A

[Coming from here]

So they still had to deal with one of the brainwashed patients tonight; the rest were being carted off for experimentation. Something had changed in the routine. There'd been a pattern earlier, one night to those "trials", the others for the brain-washed patients. But tonight was different for some reason.

So what made it change?

Sanzo was suspicious of sudden change, mostly because it always signaled something was up.

Was it because of that "Jill" pissing Landel off? Or just pure whim?

Whatever the reason, it wouldn't do the patients any favors.

It was beginning to be a familiar pattern now: open the door, quickly scan the hallway for potential threats, and get the rest of the group behind him. Holding the door open long enough for ZEX and Zelnick to follow, Tanaka then continued down the hallway to the right (it had been right, hadn't it?), alert and with flashlight in hand.

Thankfully, the hall wasn't as long on its south end as it was on its north one. Noticing a door on his right as the group neared the end of the hallway, Tanaka moved to check if it was open, until his flashlight landed on the sign next to the door declaring it to be a "Nurse's Station", and thus probably not the way to the second floor. The Shofixti gave a "hmpf", and then was back on track, reaching the end of the hall and again checking for monsters or antagonists before moving in.
