Day 30: Cafeteria, Dinner

The cafeteria was all but empty when Zelnick got there. He was a little disappointed; he had gotten the impression that patients usually ate dinner in their rooms, so he hadn't arranged to meet anyone, and there really wasn't anyone to sit by and engage in conversation yet.

Quietly, he collected dinner and a big glass of orange juice, and chose a seat near the food-serving counters. Talking for so long had made him thirsty... and, well, fruit juice was a luxury he had missed.

“Yeah, we’ll meet up after the lights go out.”

Now the only remaining question was where they’d meet up. Simon realized he hadn’t really paid attention to where his room was located in relation to the rest of the building (which he made a mental note to observe more carefully on his way back after dinner)—not to mention he had no idea where Kittan’s room was, either.

“Ah... where do you want to meet, specifically?”

Kittan was almost at a loss, really. Mainly because he hadn't really paid attention to any of them places around the stupid place, be it because he had been paying a little too much attention to a nurse or just because he was too annoyed at the time to think to look.

"... How about around here?" Kittan finally suggested. He didn't remember how far his room was from here, but it shouldn't be that hard, right?

“Around here—in the cafeteria? Hmm….” That seemed like the easiest route to take, seeing as it’d be easy to remember how to get there and they both would know where it was.

“Alright then, the cafeteria it is. Just try to get here as fast as you can, and I’ll meet you... we’ll figure out what to do from there,” he said, giving a small nod to signal his satisfaction with the plan.

"You got it, Simon," Kittan offered his leader a wide grin. The cafeteria was definetely a good place, and who knew, if worst comes to worst, they'd at least be near some food, right?

Of course, Kittan was confident that all would go as planned and they'd be home soon.

((sajhhfwi notifs where art thou, I ask you. OTL sorry bout this.))
