Day 30: Cafeteria, Dinner

The cafeteria was all but empty when Zelnick got there. He was a little disappointed; he had gotten the impression that patients usually ate dinner in their rooms, so he hadn't arranged to meet anyone, and there really wasn't anyone to sit by and engage in conversation yet.

Quietly, he collected dinner and a big glass of orange juice, and chose a seat near the food-serving counters. Talking for so long had made him thirsty... and, well, fruit juice was a luxury he had missed.

Farfarello obviously wanted information, but the shift had changed before Wesker had a chance to start properly manipulating the situation. Oh well, that would just have to wait, in the mean time he needed to speak to William.

"Leon Kennedy is here," Not that William would recognize the name, Wesker would have to explain. "He's one of the people that took you down after you mutated."

William looked up from his meal as Wesker approached and, while learning all this was interesting, the other man really needed to learn how to greet people. He could get in so much trouble one day!

"Hello to you, too, Wesker. How was your day?"

"My day was quite good," Wesker debated telling William that Farfarello considered him to be the wife in the relationship, but decided against it.

"But I thought you might want to know so you could be careful, Leon has quite a bit of false information about me, but he believes both of us to be up to no good."

William rolled his eyes, Wesker was no fun at all. He always went with the punches--which was probably why William hadn't already decided that the other man wasn't worth keeping alive. Any other capabilities Wesker had were just bonuses.

"Oh? And how much of a potential threat is he?" William would never dream of being up to no good.

"He could potentially be quite hazardous, however, I suggest we leave him alone for the time being. So long as we don't do anything overt, he should go after 'bigger fish'," Wesker was hoping that Leon would be more interested in going after the people running this place.

With the way the situation was currently, it Wesker didn't have as much of an advantage as he would have liked. He did still have advantages over Leon, but he would have to put up with Leon and any patients that sided with him, and it would be better to avoid that situation.

William had no intention of doing anything 'overt'--for now. He was merely happy to find that his virus was still intact and, until he did come up with a plan, he would busy himself with the monsters roaming the night and continue with his experiments. After all, he had to make sure the virus itself was still potent.

"And if he doesn't?"
