Day 30: Staff, Morning
Burly orderlies and agile Calm Effect nurses flooded the cafeteria from the Courtyard while regular hall nurses filed in from the Sun Room and ushered out those not involved in the rebellion. It indeed seemed as if Landel was sending out all the cavalry, and an effective cavalry they were: The riot didn't continue for much longer after the alarm sounded, though it seemed strange just how quickly all of the mutinous patients fell, even the ones who hadn't been injected with anything.
The hall nurses were quick to escort their well-behaved charges back to their rooms, praising those who hadn't joined in and chiding those who muttered under their breath in response. There were some exceptions, of course: One nice young man had even defended one of the nurses from the violent patients! Now, wasn't that exemplary behavior? Dr. Landel would be so proud to hear about it...
Within half an hour, all of the so-called "loyal" patients had been safely deposited in their rooms, and it was then that the alarm finally stopped and the true difficulty of the situation was tackled. There certainly weren't enough rooms in solitary to accommodate such rampant disobedience, and yet measures would have to be taken to ensure proper consequences for each and every patient involved. After all, something like this couldn't be allowed to happen again!
Different options were considered. Perhaps they should make an example out of the girl who had sparked the riot, but then again, perhaps not. This certainly wasn't the first case of patients attacking nurses or their peers in a crowded area, but what had been different this time was the sheer support that the other patients had shown for her. Should the staff then make examples of all those who had tried to "protect" her from the well-meaning nurses? No, there were too many for that...
In the end, it was decided that the best immediate solution would be to treat the rebellious patients in the Medical Wing while they were unconscious and then move them back to their rooms to await punishment. To ensure the safety of both their roommates and the patients themselves, however, the staff decided to securely fasten their limbs to their beds and keep them heavily drugged. Such a sad sight they were to see, but... it was necessary.
Finally, when each and every patient had been escorted back to their respective rooms, the staff hurried off to an emergency meeting upstairs. Strangely, Head Nurse Lydia was the one taking care of the proceedings in the Head Doctor's stead. She calmly told them that he was preoccupied with more urgent matters, and as she began to speak to the crowd, the staff could only wonder what could possibly be more important than an unprecedented patient riot...

F22
Sprawled rather unprincess-like on her back in her bed, Falis snored. One hand hung off the bed as well as one bandaged leg kicked out from underneath the covers. The bounty hunter had slept through the nurses' original attempt to wake her up for breakfast this morning, and they chose to let her sleep longer as she had suffered a lot of injuries the previous night.
Perhaps her heavy slumber was a blessing for the princess as it spared her whatever had been done to the riotous patients as she surely would have joined in the fray.
She shifted in her sleep, rolling a bit onto her side toward the rest of the room. The long mane of blonde hair was scattered about her, several long locks hanging off the bed to drag upon the ground. Even the blaring intercom hadn't woken her.
"ZZZZZZZZzzzzzZZZZZ."
Re: F22
Upon entering the room Usagi immediately noticed something different; sounds were coming from the other bed.
"Hello?" Usagi asked, as she peered over at the blonde haired girl.
Re: F22
"ZZZZzzzzzzzZZZZZZzzzz," she continued to snore.
In the midst of her sleep, her eyebrows drew downward for a moment as if she might be engaged in an unpleasant dream, muttering unintelligibly for a moment before she started snoring.
Re: F22
"Hellooooo~?" Usagi said a little louder, and gave the girl a gentle poke in the side.
Re: F22
When the girl poked her in the side, Falis reacted without even opening her eyes, suddenly aware. She grabbed the other blonde's hand and yanked on it, putting the girl off-balance. The bounty hunter dropped one foot to the floor as she shifted her body, hooking an arm around her assailant's leg to tip her over and onto the bed.
A thick wave of blonde hair fell down about her a few breaths later, as Falis was over top the girl, pinning her to the bed. Intense crimson eyes stared down at her, narrowed as if Falis was deciding whether to strangle her or not.
"Oi... What are you doing in my room?" The blonde's husky voice was calculated as she asked her question.
Re: F22
"W-what do you mean your room?" she meekly stuttered, too stunned to move just yet. "This has been my room for days!" The senshi stared into the other girl's strange eyes. The last roommate also had red eyes, that girl had been pretty weird...
Re: F22
Oh, yeah - land of forbidden, ancient technology.
"Ah," she replied. "This isn't my room. Too small." Her eyes returned to the girl's. "You know, it's not wise to poke a sleeping bounty hunter. They're not all nice like me."
"Why do you stay here?"
Re: F22
"I don't stay here on purpose! We're prisoners!" This girl had to be new, if she'd gotten the standard Landel's welcome briefing she wouldn't have asked a question like that. Unless it was a trick question-- bounty hunters could be tricky! Usagi remembered one from a boss battle in an arcade game...
Re: F22
And there was that name thing again. She'd gotten a bit used to her reputation preceding her. "Princess Alita Forland - that's who I am."
She then chuckled a little. "Besides, we aren't prisoners; the door's unlocked and there's always someone or some creature with a nice price on its head around to put big holes in walls."
Re: F22
The senshi gave the girl a quizzical look. "Umm... that only happens at night and I don't think anyone gives you money for killing monsters here..." Money DEFINITELY wasn't worth a scuffle with those horrible beasts!
"The doors are locked now-- there was a big fight in the cafeteria and everyone got sent back to their rooms."
Re: F22
She'd missed a fight.
"There was a fight? Who was involved? Why were they fighting? How did it turn out? Did anyone die?" The questions came quick and fast. Falis shifted one hand to grab Usagi's collar and shake her.
"WHY DIDN'T ANYONE WAKE ME UP FOR IT???"
Re: F22
"Stop it!" she cried, finally having had enough of her roommate's violent tendencies. "It's not my fault you didn't wake up for breakfast!" She grabbed the other girl's shoulder in an attempt to push herself away.
Re: F22
She looked down at Usagi's hand pushing at her shoulder, back at the girl and then around the room once more. She blinked her eyes, a look of confusion upon her face as she looked back down at Usagi. She was pretty certain this was the bed she'd fallen out of the night before and if she's in a bed more than once in a row, she tended to think of it as hers.
"This might be your room, but why are you on my bed?"
Re: F22
"My bed's over there," she pointed to the other side of the room. "We're ROOMmates, so we both live here-- like this!" Usagi began illustrating with her two pointer fingers, having them face one another as if talking and giving each a low or high voice.
"Why hello there roommate, glad you haven't been eaten yet!"
"Thanks, same to you!"
Re: F22
"Ah." The bounty hunter slipped off the bed to stand, a slight look of annoyance crossing her face at the twinge of pain that ran up her injured leg, and pulled Usagi off the bed and onto her feet as well. She brushed the other girl's clothes off, straightening them a little with a bandaged hand, and nodded.
Falis flopped down on her back upon her bed again. "Why would you be eaten? The monsters here aren't that tough." She'd just overlook the amount of damage the one last night had caused her. If she'd had a blade there wouldn't have been as much problems.
Re: F22
"You don't think so?" Usagi asked, finally noticing Falis's bandages and wincing. "I think the bugs could eat you if there were enough of them... but people always talk about bigger things like that pyramid guy." She hugged her knees into her chest.
"But the worst ones aren't even monsters..."
Re: F22
Suddenly very interested in what Usagi had to say, Falis grinned eagerly, propping her chin up on her hand. "Pyramid guy, you say? What's he like and where can I find him?"
Re: F22
"Err... I haven't fought him before, but you can ask about it on the bulletin board-- it's in the Sun Room." She gave Falis a concerned look. "But if you're hurt you shouldn't go looking for monsters!"
Re: F22
...if she ever figured out where the Sun Room was.
Anyways, Falis smirked cockily at the other blonde and gestured to her injured, a few bandages peeking out from underneath her collar also visible as well as yet another bandage on her right foot to match the one on her right hand. "What these? This is nothing," she said dismissively.
She grinned. "Wanna come with me? It'll be fun."
Re: F22
Usagi pulled a package of gauze out of the bag. "Here!" she called out cheerfully as she tossed it across the room to Falis. "They bandage us up in the morning, but it's still good to have extra!"
Re: F22
The package thrown was easily caught by the bounty hunter and she looked down at it. She turned the package over carefully, looking at both sides. Feel and what Usagi had said told her they were some cloth for wounds, but she'd never seen such things put inside an odd paper package. She turned it over again before tearing the corner of it open and peering inside. Satisfied, she put the package under her pillow with a nod. Such fine materials they used in these lands of ancient technology.
"Who're your friends?"
Re: F22
"My friend Ami, she's probably the smartest person from our world, and--" Usagi paused, she wasn't actually sure if the general was joining them tonight, "--we invited this man we know, Kunzite, but he hasn't RSVPed yet."
Re: F22
"Ummm... what's 'RSVPed' mean?"
Re: F22
"Do you have any friends you want to invite?" Bigger groups had their advantages and disadvantages, but it wouldn't be right to leave someone out.
Re: F22
The only one out of the kids she'd met last night whose name she knew was Sora; she didn't even get the name of the healer either.
"Nah. I never got the name of the boys I helped out last night." She grinned. "It's just me."
