Night 68: Main Hallway, 2-West
[From here.]
Zero wasted no time ascending the stairs and getting out into the next hallway. Here, he could hear and see nothing moving or living. So he was probably the first prisoner to make it up here...just as he'd hoped. Now he could make it to an obscure part of this floor and no one would hopefully come across him.
... ... Though, problem. He had a (flexible, not permanent) idea of where to go, yes...but would he be able to find his way, without any light to assist him?
His eyes were finally adjusted somewhat to the darkness, but it wasn't enough. From here, he couldn't see where the connecting hallways were, where any doors were...and he had little experience with this area, so it wasn't like the prisoner block where he knew from instinct practically where to go. How was he supposed to figure this out? Guessing?
He couldn't just stand here, in any case. If other prisoners were going to come up here, then Zero could bet they wouldn't take much longer to do it. He had to get moving, now.
And so Zero walked forward quickly, immediately coming across a second hallway right in front of him. It probably wasn't the one he'd planned to enter - that one had been the farthest on the left of his map, the farthest one from the center main hallway - but he didn't care too much anymore. If it was still a place he could go to get away from the other prisoners, then he was going to go there... It wasn't like the other hallway had been the only option for him, anyway.

Scar's assumption seemed to have been right. This hall was exactly like the main hallway on the first floor. Which meant...
The Ishbalan bolted off toward the end of the hall, where he knew there would be stairs. He needed to get back to everyone else, and had no idea how long he had been out.
