It was still early in the night from the looks of it--the main hallway was totally clear as they moved toward the Sun Room. It was true the route they were taking was normally guarded, but there was no guarantee the rec field wasn't, and with a group this large, they would stand a better chance at breaking through anything that might await them.

She glanced back at the group. "If there's someone in the Sun Room, try to focus on disabling the attacker and running. I don't want to get held up in a pointless fight."

"He~y!" Wild Tiger yelled out feebly. No answer as usual. Shoving his hand in his pocket, put out, he shuffled long legs down the dead silent corridor, led only by the yellow trail of his flashlight. It was hard to believe he was the only person up here, but maybe nothing interesting happened on the second floor. If that were the case, the older man may have shot himself in the foot.

"Man," he huffed out, no longer holding himself with cautious poise. Either way, the man was up here and he couldn't call it quits before he even tried using the Sun Room! For all he knew, the life of some poor child could be within his hands by simply snooping around long enough! There was too much riding on him to let it all fail now because he was a bit disillusioned.

Sighing like a petulant child, Wild Tiger walked closer to the railing surrounding the Sun Room and peered over, whistling at how big the room looked from the second floor. The unnecessary sound echoed within the large opening. It was simple, but it certainly brightened Tiger's mood. He whistled again and laughed when the sound came back to him.

"Hey, hello~!" He shouted back, giddy and as easily entertained a kid. A small, amused smile turned the corners of his mouth as he shouted in his native tongue for a final time. "Ko~nban wa~!"

Only a couple more rooms and then he was going to eat everything he laid eyes on in the pantry. Even the condiments, at this rate. How much nutritional value did tomato ketchup have anyway? And was he really in any position to turn it down if that was all he could find?

Even with the hunger twisting his stomach and making him feel slightly sick, Wally wasn't quite so bad off that he needed to just rush into the room beyond. His luck had been pretty good so far, well, apart from his speed dumping him into a wall like that, but that didn't mean a thing here.

But the sun room seemed empty, from what he could make out in the darkness and with only a flashlight that had seen better days, so Wally relaxed and headed further into the room, weaving through the chairs and things as he aimed for the cafeteria doors.

When Locke opened the door, he was greeted by a rush of fresh air—something entirely unexpected, on his part. It was too easy, wasn't it? When he looked around, all he saw was a field, a shed, and walls that blocked him from being home free. Lucky me, he thought to himself, as he looked around the surroundings. So far, he'd managed to avoid any sort of conflict, but he didn't want to take chances. The more and more he wandered around without a weapon, the more vulnerable he felt. It wasn't safe, he knew, taking Zack's previous words into consideration.

Taking a deep breath, Locke looked over to the shed—a little too far for comfort. Crossing the entire field for whatever was inside that shack seemed way too risky for his own good, as tempting as it sounded. Instead, he remained by the wall, careful not to make too much noise. If not the shack, then, just what was beyond this wall...?

No use worrying about it, right? )

Taura had found the assignment listing after her shower; she hadn't had more than a moment to dash off a reply before she'd been harried back towards the bunks. She jogged into the center of the room and over towards the board. The notices and replies were gone each morning, but she'd never seen the staff tidying in the afternoon; perhaps any further notes were still here.

The bulletin board was certainly not empty, but those were not notes. Communication, yes. A desperate cry for help. Many cries, by the look of it, or one repeated beyond the endurance she'd found typical of unenhanced human bodies.

Someone had been here, and been hurt. She turned to the room and barked out a couple short questions. "Who's there? Is someone injured?"

After reaching the top of the stairs, Tenzen slipped into the next hallway. This time, the hallway consisted out of a normal floor, ceiling and walls, as opposed to the pulsing flesh from last night.

Sliding his hand along the wall, the ninja kept his flashlight switched off as he headed East.

Although he'd been to the second floor on previous nights, Hanatarou had stayed on the west end of the building both times, and never gone very far into that either. Not that he really wanted to think too much about the last time he'd been up there, of course.

So here he was, in an area unfamiliar to him, trying to find a room he'd never visited before. At least Kira had his maps with them if they managed to get lost, so they wouldn't have to rely on the healer's own memory, but that wasn't too much reassurance. Hanatarou glanced around a little nervously, noting what had to be the area above the Sun Room below - their destination would be over that direction, then.

He made certain to stay close to Kira, though, just in case something decided to jump out at them from the shadows. There were an awful lot of them tonight, with the hallways so empty.
