Night 49: West Wing, South Hall 1-B

Maybe she should go snatch up her patient file? Possessions, too. Yuffie'd never say no to free stuff, even if it was a bunch of crap from a lie of a life. If she was lucky, she'd get somethin' handy. Handy like a cellphone, or, hell, even a laptop! Yuffie wasn't a technical genius at the best of times, preferring to leave all that stuff to Reeve and the guys in R&D, but if she could get 'em up and working, they'd be like a gift straight from Leviathan.

Yukari shook her head. "Usually there isn't." Only when 'Special Collections' was going on, but those could have been posted anywhere within the building. "It's... kind of weird. You know how at the end of the night, we just end up back in our rooms again, right? Well, it happens no matter where you are, even outside."

She might have wondered why it happened even when they weren't within the institute's range, but after seeing the strange influence Landel potentially had that went as far as Doyleton (the previous week's fiasco had to have been his fault), the idea didn't seem so strange anymore. Well, it was still strange, but in a different way. Yukari wasn't quite sure how to put it.

"I was out past the walls once," she continued. "with Junpei and Akihiko-senpai-- when he was here. If you can believe it, it's more freakier out there than it is inside."

Aigis still wondered about the strange phenomenon where she could be even on the second floor of this place and still wind up back in bed once morning returned. It didn't seem possible, unless she just happened to deactivate. But it was happening to everyone here, and normal humans did not just deactivate. If it also happened outside the institute, it made escaping much more difficult than Aigis had anticipated.

I should have expected this. But she was beginning to understand that putting logic to this place was actually an illogical course of action. Like Tartarus, physical laws and constraints were not consistent, especially at night.

"Ah, yes, Akihiko-san, I had heard he was here before, along with Mitsuru-san, Amada-san, Ryoji-san and even Chidori-san." Where had all their friends gone? Hopefully back home. "It would not be surprising if it was 'freakier' outside." In a way, the Shadows attacks outside of Tartarus were always much more dangerous than their training within the tower. The same principle seemed to translate over to Landel's. This place was much too similar to Tartarus, but with innocent lives at stake, as well as their own.

sorry for the delay ;;

As Aigis listed off their teammates names one by one, Yukari once again began to realize just how miss she was missing their presence. She felt more comfortable with them around, both because they were familiar faces and because their power was greater in their numbers. But, Yukari had to keep in mind, at least she wasn't completely alone; that much, she had.

"I almost don't want to go back out there again," she responded in an exasperated tone of voice as she walked down the hall, waving for Aigis to follow.
