Night 47: F-A Block Hallway
( from here. )
One thing Kairi couldn't help but admit was that her room now was a lot closer to the door than her old one was. It was practically a hop, skip, and a jump away! Not bad at all.
... Not that she was lazy or anything. She wasn't the lazy one of the group. Certainly not.
Either way, Kairi continued down the hallway and out the door with ease, careful to watch her step.

Turning the corner had Senna noting that once again, she was the late one to the party. This would turn into a running joke soon. The girl sighed, a hand on the sword in her sash, and walked up to the pair, smiling. "Heya. Having fun so far?"

She stopped the spear with her off-hand and had just shifted into thrusts--being sure to keep the weapon well away from Soma and anyone else passing by--when Senna came around the corner. "I think you're just in time to hear Soma predict the future," Meche answered. "Exciting times."

She looked up as Senna approached, faint concern in her eyes. The other girl had sounded a little off on the bulletin board today, and Soma was fairly sure she knew why. Still, she offered a small smile, unwilling to bring it up now.

"The future, huh?" the girl wondered, leaning on the wall near them, eyes mischievous. "Am I in it?~" The answer was no; would always be no no matter the world, but this was something Senna was used to hiding behind smiles. There was no use being upset about being dead, not if you died for a reason. Not existing though... Not being remembered.... Well. Some things were worth crying over. Now, though. They had work to do.
In time. She mentally shrugged. She hadn't seen Soma for days, and it seemed like she had only spent a few minutes with Meche. The mission could wait a little.

The row of numbered rooms ended and opened up into a broad perpendicular hallway. Leaning past a corner of the block wall, Tifa shined her light back and forth down the new hall. Right was a wall so, since there was only one way to go, the brunette turned left, doing her best to quietly walk down the linoleum hallway in new rubber sneakers.
She kept her flashlight low so she wouldn't put anyone's eye out with the glaring light and inevitably it shone on the legs of a few other patients talking. Stepping closer with a friendly smile, Tifa hoped they were a bit more experienced in this place than she. The last thing she wanted was to spend her whole night wandering all over for some booze (that may well not even exist!).
"Excuse me, are any of you familiar with the rooms around here? I'm looking for ehhm..." What was it? "... M 51..."

She was just opening her mouth to tell Senna that of course she was in the future, maybe Soma would even let her try on a spare mobile suit from her closet sometime, when a young woman with long, dark hair came up to them. Spear practice didn't strike Meche as the best way to make new friends, so she let her arms drop to her sides and stretched. She could only hope Senna and Soma were better at giving directions she was.
"I have a map you can look at," she offered, digging the worn papers out of her pocket and unfolding it so the young woman could see it. "But I'm really not the person to ask directions from. Do either of you know how to get there?"

Before she could elaborate or figure out how to answer Senna's question without sounding awkward, another young woman approached.
"That would be in the men's section," she said, thinking. "I've never been there, but I assume the layout of their rooms is the same as ours. I don't know how the numbers are ordered, though."
no subject
"The next hall over," she said, jerking her thumb to the side. "Has the lower number guys rooms. Probably if you keep on going down that hall, you'll find the next ones."
no subject
"Next hall over, through that door?" She pointed behind them, still keeping her eyes pinned to the map to make sure she was where she thought she was. Soo, then she just had to turn left and up. Simple. "Okay, great! Thank you..." Straightening, the young brunette smiled her gratitude and continued moving down the hall.

"Good work, team," she said to the others. "Ready to get going?" She flashed Senna a smile intended to invite the girl to lead the way. Map or no map, Meche preferred to rely on someone who really knew where they were headed.
