Night 46: Main Hallway, 1-West
[from here]
Beatrix had walked this path to the Sun Room so many times, she could do it in complete darkness. Which was exactly what she was doing. Knowing the way, there was little need for light as it would only draw creatures and other unwanted attention. Silently counting her steps, at the right number, the assassin headed left and down the hallway.

"Kagura," she acknowledged with a nod to the girl, stepping away from the wall. Another step took her over to the boy about to wander past and she unceremoniously grabbed the back of his shirt. "Sokka."
Letting go, she smiled smugly now that she had their attentions.
"Good evening, you two," she greeted them.

"Weht, ah wasmph rehdee!" came a reflexive protest through a mouthful of flashlight. It calmed quickly, however, when a familiar voice said his name. Sokka stopped mid-flail and looked around, just in time to be let go. "Heemay?" he asked, then spat out the flashlight and looked at her with embarrassed anger, "Don't do that!"
She could have just said his name without making him nearly swallow the flashlight! Not that he'd been scared or anything. Please! Sokka was a warrior! He didn't do that scared... thing... The boy coughed and got his composure back enough to see that Kagura was there too. "You two heading off again?"

Seeing him so energetic brought a smile to her face. Being with people she was familiar with made her feel more comfortable in the dark hallway; it was certainly a lot better than being alone.
"I guess so," Kagura replied to Sokka's question, not quite sure of Hime's plans but hoping the three of them could work together. "Do you have any plans Hime?"

"I intend to expand my arsenal; a knife has its uses, but I'd prefer to have something with a little more range," she stated simply. "Something I can put some force behind. To that end, I intend to pay a visit to the shed out on the Recreational Field and and the other shed in the courtyard. I'm sure there will be something suitable there for inflicting bodily harm on those who might wish such upon us."
She smirked and noted that the two of them were also unarmed; it seemed the lender of Sokka's sword had already collected.
"It seems like you two have a similar need as well," she pointed out. "Well?"

Was she smiling at him?! Ok, so maybe it was fine when Toph and Katara laughed at him - it was always fine if it was Suki - but some girl he only just barely knew? That wasn't right. He shouldn't be giving that kind of impression! He nearly moved to tell her a thing or two about how not scared he had been when she started talking weapons, ranged ones, and reminded him of the fact that she had a knife. Maybe he should wait to explain himself. After all, Hime did seem a bit... scary. That, and he no longer had the sword so he wouldn't get very far if she decided she didn't like him or needed a training post for her current weapon.
"As long as we don't get drugged this time..." Sokka reasoned as he scratched the back of his head and looked away from Hime, "I guess anything's good?"
no subject
"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea," Kagura replied. Her makeshift rod wasn't very sturdy. If she was lucky, she might get a few swings out of the weapon before it splintered and deformed. She needed something better suitable for inflicting bodily harm, although, Kagura was more concerned with non-human enemies than her fellow patients. "I think the Recreational Field is this way."
