Day 44: Lunch

That had been a very frustrating shower. For many reasons. At least Raine was going to at least look at Forte. Hopefully, she'll actually heal him. The showers had also succeeded in making the ninja feel like a pervert. A mild one, but still... It was as if Yukari had picked that spot in the showers because she knew the ninja could easily see her.

Ugh! Damn youkai.

Squirreling herself away in a corner of the cafeteria, Sheena finger combed her wet hair before pulling it back with the bright red ribbon. She so needed her own hair ribbon back. She was attempting to formulate her plan of acquisition - she was ninja after all - as people started trickling into the room. The plan was put on pause, though, when her stomach rumbled.

Food now - plan later.

Setsuna sat still for a while, waiting for the sick feeling to pass. Next time he would be more careful about his escape (although he also would most likely than not also forget about caution during the actual moment—not that he noticed or bothered).

When he finally felt somewhat better, he glanced up and found Feldt looking at someone near them. He blinked and turned to the direction she was staring at.

Oh.

Someone else in a similar situation would have apologized and walked away. But Setsuna wasn't exactly trained in the skill of being polite (or with social skills, in general), so he just held his stare, instinctively assessing whether the man was a threat or not.

Feldt glanced at Setsuna before looking back at the other person that was sitting at the table. "I am sure he will be soon." She answered softly, although she didn't say exactly what was wrong with him. She didn't want to let that information out for others to know unless she had no other choice in the matter. Feldt had always been a somewhat secretive person though - she had grown up in Celestial Being, and the organization was full of secrets.

She hoped that the sedatives would wear off soon - she didn't like seeing Setsuna like this, and she didn't like the fact that the nurses had gone and sedated him.

If only they could find a way out of this place.

Maybe the boy seemed to have lost his tongue, or maybe staring was a way to say 'hello' wherever he came from. Well, there wasn't much to see, anyway. Just a hobo with glasses here. Unless these kids could somehow tell, but he doubted everyone in this place had a radar to see something was off.

But for a hobo, Tyki Mikk was generally pretty perceptive. This kid was either suffering from the after-effects of whatever happened during the night, or maybe the combination of a daytime nurse with a needle. But as it was, the Noah didn't say anything about it, nor did he comment about the girl not saying what had caused her friend's condition. He could if he had wanted it, but he simply couldn't be bothered.

"Good," he simply answered. What else was there to say about it? "You guys been here long?"

Well, maybe not all of the people within the institute were dangerous, he thought. The man before him certainly didn't appear to be; perhaps an actual patient at the institute (was that even a possibility)? Either way, he concluded it safe to continue the conversation. Perhaps this man held some information neither he nor Feldt currently possessed.

He ignored the momentary throbbing in his head and replied, in his usual monotone: "We had arrived yesterday." There was a slight pause before he continued. "Are you a long-term patient?"

Setsuna must have considered the man at the table safe to speak to, considering that he was continuing the conversation on his own. She looked over at the Gundam Meister, and nodded. That would be a good thing to know before they could ask for anything more. It was a good starting point, at the very least.

Feldt opted to stay quiet for a bit this time so that she could hear Tyki's answer. Once they had that then... they could probably continue on and continue to ask questions in the case this new person had something to say.
