Night 41: M-B Block Hallway

[From here]

After a few minutes, von Karma arrived at the main patient block hallway. Although it was nearly identical to that of the one in which he was formerly assigned, it felt different to him. Certainly, the trip from his room to the hallway was somewhat longer than it had been for him previously.

Right now, he was the only one in here, but that would soon change as more patients left their rooms. Wanting to avoid inviting any kind of trouble by tarrying here too long, he cautiously peered out the door to ensure that no threats existed. Satisfied that there were none, he went through the door to enter the main hallway.

The hallways were silent and still as before, and X might have taken it as an advantage to sneak along the walls, unseen and unheard, but considering II was in no condition for such fun and games at the moment, Luxord would not bother. He removed his hood with his free hand ("free" being a relative term, since he was still holding Clark's flashlight in it) and turned to look at the Freeshooter as he dragged him along. "Are you feeling well?"

Yes, he asked that in the morning, but if II suddenly collapsed, Luxord wished to be out of the way in case he began spewing blood from his wounds or something similar.

"Peachy. Nothing like getting dragged all over the place to make me feel at ease." Sure, it was pretty close to whining, but at the moment, Xigbar felt like it was justified. Getting yanked to his feet again, after being ranted at by Demyx... yeah, he deserved just one bit of whining.

Besides, Luxord probably liked thinking that he'd gotten one over on the Freeshooter. He sure seemed to be liking the idea of having some power over the guy, after all. "So, where are we going, again?"

Dear lord, did Luxord whine this much when he was hurt? ...yes, yes he did. He had no room to complain about II's reaction to the matter. That did not mean he was going to be completely kind about the circumstances, though; it was Xigbar's own fault for his injuries. "Would you rather I drape you over my shoulder and carry you, princess?"

Still, the older member deserved some answers not that he ever gave Luxord any for himself. "The same place you took me, I would imagine." Perhaps that clockwork man would be there again. X would love to speak with him...

"Yeah, as if." Not only was Xigbar not one to be carried, ever, he also doubted that the Gambler, of all people, could actually lift him off the ground. Just didn't make sense that way; no way he was going to buy that one.

Still, the destination made sense, all things considered. "...huh... guess that's not too bad, then. 'least I know it works okay."

"You do not think I could? What a blow to my pride!" Just to illustrate as such, the Gambler made a point to sway dangerously backwards and off-kilter as if struck, not caring if it meant II was coming along for the ride. "Oh, glorious wound~!"
