Nightshift 39: West Wing, North Hall 1-A

Miles slowed again as he entered the hallway, due to another sharp spike of pain in his head. This time, it was accompanied by a louder rumble, one that almost sounded like garbled words.

He swept the beam of his flashlight from side to side. "Now, see? Nothing - and no one - is there," he muttered, hoping that would silence the voice's insistent worry. It was starting to get both annoying and worrisome at the same time. What was making it react like this? He couldn't think of anything, and the intercom announcement hadn't indicated anything particularly worrisome, either.

He sighed and continued down the hallway, continuing to scan for anything in the shadows with each step.

Touya wasn't a doctor though he'd taken more classes in first aid than he'd care to admit--and those sexual harassment tapes..., but he decided that listening to Yukito on this one, no matter how vital he felt it was for them to talk, was probably a good idea.

"Okay..." he said, nodding. It helped a little that Yukito didn't seem upset at the fact that he was bleeding, but it also made Touya wonder if he was keeping something to himself.

Nah, Yuki was Yuki--and if he wasn't smiling than something was seriously wrong.

"Which way's this... clinic thing, then?" he asked, looking down the hallway.

While it was true that Yukito was somewhat reluctant to start telling everything that Yue hadn't - perhaps his other self's personality was bleeding over a little, or perhaps he just didn't want to upset Touya at the moment - he still thought there were things a little more important to deal with right now.

"It's actually right next door to your room, as I recall," he replied, cheerfully enough, even if he did cast a concerned look toward Touya's shoulder again. "M35. Not far from here, fortunately."
