Day 39: Sun Room

That really hadn't been the breakfast she'd been expecting, but Yuffie couldn't bring herself to complain. The kid made for good company, and was, if nothing else, pretty entertaining. She could've just done without the whole choking thing. That… That had been embarrassing. A bit. Okay, a lot. Yuffie was starting to get a feeling that this day was -- for once-- actually going to ping on her ‘interesting!’ meter.

Whether or not that was a good thing, she didn’t know.

By the time she’d reached the Sun Room's bulletin board, a kitten on her shoulder and a pen twirling between her fingers, Yuffie was starting to put her finger on why she had that weird, nagging feeling. Though on second thought, it was less like putting her finger on it and more like it had jumped up and punched her right in the nose; the feeling wasn’t just about waffles, magicians, or tricky candy thieves. Sagara hadn't answered her bulletin post; he hadn't answered any bulletin posts. She hadn't seen that stupid, spiky head of his all morning. It was like radio silence without a radio.

Agai-- No, Yuffie cut herself off sharply, frowning. She was just jumping to conclusions. It wouldn't be the first time, right? Right! And yet… instincts were instincts for a reason, and in a dump like this, who knew what could happen?

"It's nice to meet you too Ururu-chan!" Honey said enthusiastically. He didn't quite make the formal bow, but he did what he could from his seat. Honey was just glad to be meeting some nice people after some of the scary ones the other day.

"Mm, I always have Usa-chan with me," he explained, "he was with me when I woke up." Which was apparently a little strange here, but he'd seen someone with a teddy bear just the other day, so it wasn't that hard to believe. "You can hold him if you want to. He's really soft!"

"Really? Thank you." Though stuffed animals usually didn't survive for very long at the Urahara Shop, Ururu still liked them. The girl reached out, being careful to be gentle as she took Usa-chan. Honey was right, because the plush animal was very soft.

"I didn't have anything of mine when I woke up." Except Kisuke-san, but he was gone. Ururu gave Usa-chan a little hug, then held it back out to Honey. She didn't want the boy to be without his rabbit too long. She knew how important it must be to him.

"Do you have friends here, Honey-kun?" He seemed nice, and Ururu always wanted to be sure the people she met would be safe at night. Or at least, as safe as they could be.

He smiled when Ururu took the plushie. Few girls were so careful with him, so he was glad she played nice. He listened carefully, since it was important to listen as well as talk to be a good host, and he took Usa-chan back when she was through.

"That's too bad Ururu-chan," Honey gave her a sincere look and scooted over on the couch if she wanted to come sit too. "Did you have a favorite stuffed toy too?"

As for his friends, that brought a smile back to his face, "Ah! Yes! There's lots of them here! It's a little bit hard to make sure they stay out of trouble, but I'm glad they're here with me. Are your friends here too Ururu-chan?"
