Day 38: Game Room

She’d never been in the Game Room before.

It didn’t look spectacularly interesting, she had to admit… but it’d be more fun than just hanging out in the Sun Room, right? Yuffie idly thumbed through a deck of cards, walking around the room to examine various bits and pieces. Board games, video games, chess… No really awesome prank material that she could see, but maybe she could rope somebody into a game of poker? That could be fun, but… ah, then again, most of the patients were just like her -- they didn’t have anything really cool that she could swindle out of them. Not until Nightshift, anyway.

Still! She’d keep it in mind. It wasn’t like there was anybody else in the room yet anyway, so any potential swindling would have to wait a little while. What could she do in the meantime, huh? Pick- pocketing a nurse could be fun..! Wait -- no, not when it was quiet like this. She’d have to wait until there was more cover, unless she got distracted. Yuffie hadn’t stolen anything in days, not since that time in Doyleton, with the Kaito kid…

Yuffie smirked. That had been fun.

The sadistic type, hmmm? No matter which place there were always people who enjoyed blood for the kicks and giggles. He supposed it didn't quite matter as long as it wasn't his blood that would spill. Besides, what kind of predatory animal wouldn't be able to stand blood? It made the meat more juicy, which was precisely why a fresh kill tasted better than some prey that had already been dead for days. But other than that Scar didn't care much for the substance. Blood was red and it was all he could say about it.

"I see." he answered with a nod. Though Scar happened to be curious about that 'full story', he saw no point in pushing her to tell it. If anything, it would only backfire.

"I suppose our worlds are completely different in that regard." the King commented. "Are you familiar with lions?"

He wondered if this female would also look down on him for being 'a mere animal', like many of these foolish humans (or it's variations) did.

Hm, now that wasn't quite the answer she had been expecting. She had wondered if this man were potentially something like Yukari's youkai, not a common animal. In a way, hearing that was even more interesting than what she had been expecting. "They are rare in my world, but they do exist, mostly in the far South where the climate is warmer," she answered with a raised eyebrow. "I was under the impression that they were simply dumb beasts, but I take it that is not the case?"

The sudden memory of stories told amongst the higher ranked warriors made her grin again. "I have also heard many stories of one in particular, though he isn't a true lion, I believe. It is said that he resembles a lion with monstrous claws who runs on two legs like a human, and also that his speed and power are rivaled only by the three most powerful evil beings in my world. He is called Rigardo, the Silver-eyed Lion King." Ophelia was almost disappointed that this man's - this lion's - eyes weren't silver. She would have loved to challenge one so feared as the elusive Rigardo was.
