Day 38: Lunch

Soubi was beginning to feel the effects of a busy morning on a tired body. To make things worse, they were serving Tacos and Burritos. He could really do some with something a bit softer today. Blander. But it was hardly his biggest concern right now.

Having picked out his lunch, he looked for Ritsuka. He had to apologise, but these things usually ended up in bigger arguments, so, as could be expected, Soubi was a little nervous. Maybe they wouldn't find each other this shift. Maybe he had a little more time?

Soubi sat alone, being sure that his face was set in the expression that sent the girls at College the other way.

Demyx grimaced. Geez, and he'd been feeling like he'd been getting a lot of fallout from those deaths. "Three people?" he said aloud. "Man, you're really not having a good week..."

He blinked at Senna for a minute as he worked out her meaning, then looked faintly guilty. He hadn't meant to give her false hope about that... "Not, like, 'not meant to exist' us," he replied sheepishly. "Just...people who aren't appreciated, or who're lonely, or who just like music. I think there's only the four of us like that in this place, and there's only you and me in the actual band. Luxord and Xigbar are the other two, but they kinda think the band's a stupid idea, anyway."

As someone who had only existed for a little over a week, that statement was entirely too correct. And way too ironic. Senna burst out laughing in spite of everything. Or maybe because of it. "Sorry, just... Yeah. It's been an hard week."

She scratched the back of her head distractedly. "Oh. Okay." Only four. But... four. It was more than she would have hoped for. "Luxord's the other one, huh? I'm meeting Xigbar tomorrow," she said.
