Night 37: M11-20 Hallway
[From here, roundabouts M16]
Celes tapped her foot and as she tried for the life of her to remember just where the Gambler resided. Hellfire, she should have gotten a straight answer from him. But then, it would have meant she'd also asked. Celes sighed and shook her hair from her eyes, adjusting her hair clasp. She walked for a bit, up and down the halls, listening for voices that were familiar. When the first hallway bore no fruit, Celes turned to the next one.
Halfway down, she heard the familiar accent of Luxord's voice through the door. There was still plenty of time to meet her subordinate, she'd been quick tonight. Celes rapped on the door three times and waited. "Master Luxord? Are you within?"

What exactly did he want to say? This whole situation was - well, "confusing" didn't really begin to cover it. He'd been coming to terms with the idea of his existence and Yue's and what it meant, though that was with help that wasn't here right now. And now it was all changed once more. And then on top of that, there were the visitors he'd had the day before to even further confuse the matter. Yukito sighed quietly, tapping the cap of his pen against his lower lip for a moment before setting it down again - just in time for the evening intercom announcement.
He closed his eyes at that, reaching out to his other self; Yue still had nothing to say, but with a wordless sense of agreement he moved to the forefront of their shared mind, taking control once again. The exchange took almost no time at all before Yue opened his eyes, frowning slightly at the journal before sliding it back into the drawer again. He'd not be needing that.
Re: M11
He was feeling much better than yesterday, so the journey over to the other room wasn't nearly so tiring. He'd probably lost some weight since he'd come to the institute, but they all had their reasons. It shouldn't make too much difference, it just meant his usually fitted clothing hung a little looser than before. With the coat, one probably couldn't even see a difference.
Yuuhi was actually somewhat excited about the prospect of finding some useful items this evening, hoping to keep just one of them for himself, should they find it.
He knocked on the door to Yue's room, wondering which of the two he'd be traveling with tonight.
Re: M11
And so the guardian was quick to open the door, intending to be off quickly as soon as he'd determined it really was Fai waiting there - but paused upon seeing his visitor. Well, it was Fai, but not quite as Yue had expected to see him. "...interesting," was all he said, though, after a moment to consider, then nodded down the hall without so much as a greeting or attempt at conversation. "Let's go."

There wasn't much he could take with him tonight; he dropped a few pens into his greatcoat pocket and picked up his flashlight, then stepped out into the hall. F30 was only a short walk away; hopefully he wouldn't run into anything he couldn't manage unarmed.

Re: M14
Wait, what?
Tanaka froze halfway through taking out the umbrella, his brain once again catching up to him. If he had just been moved from his old room... then how had his supplies been moved here, too? Wouldn't the nurses have confiscated them? Perhaps this was the work of that radio woman that everyone was always mentioning. Or perhaps it was a taunt, as though the Institute was saying, "We don't care if you have these things; you're still not a threat to our authority."
Well, he'd see about that. A moment to get his gear arranged, and a look at the map, and Tanaka was out the door, on his way to report to the Captain... and hopefully to get ZEX's lies cleared up once and for all.

Unfortunately for Noah, Luxord had two hands. The one that was not being held made sure to strike him again, just for spite.
"I hardly struck you so hard," he said. After all, he had outright punched II in the face, earlier. His roommate should be grateful the Nobody's knuckles still stung enough to let that not be his greeting tonight.
And then there was a tap tap taping at his door and the dulcet tones of Celes. "It seems the Fates think me to require a witness to prove this case." Without noticing how odd the current scene on Noah's bed would appear to anyone else, Luxord turned to the door and gave a "You know it to be unlocked, love."

There was Noah, again, his hair shorn to a proper length and there atop him, Luxord. Celes wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry out in horror. Instead, she looked away quickly. "Should I leave you two alone?" Far be it from her to judge what the others chose for their free time.

The whole situation was really lost upon his brusque sensibilities.
He had manners, however, as slight as they may be. "Lady Celes," he lowered his head towards her as a greeting. "Luxord has told me he hasn't seen me in half a fort night. Is it the same for you? The night we found ourselves in Doyleton was a week ago?"

The journey to Homura's room was a short one at least, and the corridors were still mostly empty so early in the night. He did hope that the uniform wouldn't have any kind of bad effect on the other god. The uniform of a General of Heaven couldn't have any good memories attached for Homura after all. But he had his memories back now so he didn't think it should be a problem.
He knocked lightly on Homura's door. "Hey, Homura?"
Re: M13
The knock was expected, breaking Homura away from his thoughts as the demi-god moved to answer the door. He was a bit surprised, however, to see Kenren not in his patient attire, but the uniform of Heaven's army. It did spark mixed feelings to see it, but Homura also knew that for Kenren, it would be an important thread of reality to cling to.
"Hello, Kenren." Homura stepped aside so the man could enter, offering him a tight smile. "I'm glad you made it. They took Shito for the experiments." Which of course sparked worry as to who else they would take, along with everything else.

"Damn," he said, closing his eyes for a moment. It really seemed like they had it in for people working with History Club. Or it felt that way, even if it was all chance and bad luck. "You want to go after him?" They didn't seem that friendly, but it was a question which had to be asked.

Gathering his things and pulling on his boots, Kratos checked to make sure he hadn't missed anything before stepping out of the room quietly into the hallway.

Though Frey wasn't particularly interested in discussing the merits of the food, he did understand that Takaya was uncomfortable with such personal topics. Smiling faintly, Frey took a few moments to eat some of the chicken, then nodded to Takaya. "You're right, it's quite good. So much of the food here seems to be fried, or spiced in ways that are unfamiliar to me, but this is quite pleasant."
Re: M15
"Sometimes though, the food isn't too bad."

Dias wasn't the type to give a person any breaks, it seemed. But Kakashi was okay with that since he wasn't necessarily that type either. One of the most important things about being a ninja was to be aware of his own limits, and the situation he was facing now certainly did leave him with a rather large one. So he could appreciate how frank Dias was about it.
Unfortunately, Kakashi didn't have the luxury of pulling a sword out from under his mattress.
He'd turned and was just about to ask Dias where he got his things when the intercom clicked to life. Two times, each announcement sounding completely different from each other. It must have been the official start of night, which meant Kakashi could leave his room now. Except when the doors unlocked, so did something else.
The jounin made a low, surprised sound as his previously inactive sharingan suddenly came to life, complete with an immediate chakra drain. Just closing his eye wasn't enough to stop it, so Kakashi pressed his left hand over it to cut off the vision further. That had greater success, thankfully, and Kakashi relaxed as the strain eased.
"Well. Night time brings all sorts of surprises, doesn't it?"
Re: M18
He'd already been moving towards the door when he heard the sound Kakashi made - a noise of vague distress - and turned to look at the man in some surprise. He had a hand over his eye; what had happened? Dias had only looked away for a moment...
"What is it?" he asked with a frown.
Re: M18
"It's nothing too bad. You probably noticed earlier that I was blind in my left eye." The way Dias carried himself gave off the impression of an experienced warrior, after all. And Kakashi, also experienced, knew that the best were able to easily pick up on things like that. "It has a special ability, but during the day, the energy that fuels it was cut off. But it seems like that's changed now that it's night." Why it had been, Kakashi couldn't be sure. It seemed to fit in with the general theme of the hospital, though.
"I'll be fine. It just caught me by surprise." Using Sharingan had always been draining for Kakashi, since he wasn't of the Uchiha clan. But even in that brief moment, the jounin was acutely aware that here, more chakra was used even for the basic Sharingan. That meant advanced moves like the Mangekyou Sharingan were out of the question, and likely Raikiri as well.
Not thinking walking around the whole night with a hand over his eye was the best option, Kakashi went to his closet, intending to tear apart a shirt into wrappings for his eye. He got his second surprise of the night, however, when he found something better. It only took a minute for him to put on his headband; the metal plate was lighter and probably wouldn't offer much so far as protection went, but the cloth was still thick enough to block out his left eye.
"There." Turning back to Dias, Kakashi grinned casually, both hands now free. "It looks like I have something to change into too."

He kept meaning to try out that little toy they'd picked up in the morgue a few nights past, but each night seemed to have its own problems and trials and all kept him from play.
He knew he would have to tread carefully, so he packed light, tucking his flashlight into his sleeve. If he traveled alone, it would be faster, in the long run, and he'd had no difficultly watching his own back in this place.
First would be weapons. There was a couple of places upstairs that would be good for sharp objects and if he hurried he might be able to collect from each one. After a moment's thought, he tucked his pillowcase into a sleeve as well, to wrap his findings in.

M11 (later)
There was a sense of foreboding in the air that Ken really didn't like, and Ken had learned over the years to trust his feelings. Something was happening tonight. Something bad. Well, moreso than any other normal night in Landel's Institute. But without any other forewarning than his nerves, Ken couldn't do much about it. 'Way to be fucking useless as usual, Hidaka.'
The map he'd left on the desk for Adam still hadn't been touched, and Ken left it there. Gathering his weapon and flashlight didn't take too long, the radio was ignored. First he'd go try to find Aya. Then maybe Yohji. Hopefully without incident.

Yukito was relieved by Ken's offer, to be honest - he didn't want to just forget about Fai, but he was also quite aware there was nothing useful he could do. But if Ken was willing to keep an eye out and maybe even help if needed, that would let him get some rest without worrying.
"Have you met Fai-san before? He's a little taller than I am, really thin, blond...oh, and he had different clothing on tonight." He started to lift a hand to approximate Fai's height, but remembered just in time that he was carrying the very important packages of cookies and thought better of the idea. "He had a big fluffy coat on, but I think he might have dropped it. Underneath it he was wearing a smaller white coat with tails and black pants."
