Nightshift 36: Main Hallway, 2-West

No one else appeared to be in the hallway. It should've been good news, but Archer still found it disconcerting. There were usually other patients around by now, but he couldn't be certain. His sense of time felt off in this place.

He might as well move on, since he was short on time. Not to mention that he didn't want to risk getting attacked.

Still leaning on Michiru's arm, Seiya heard someone shouting about injured people. Even if she'd had any medical knowledge, beyond the kind of first aid anyone could offer, she didn't have the energy or concentration. And they'd been lucky the patient they'd encountered had let them backtrack as it was... injuries had to come from someplace. They weren't in any shape to try and fight off any opponent.

Anyone looking at them would think she was qualified for the same kind of yell, anyhow. That, or that she was drunk. The dizziness was a bit like that, but the weakness in her legs was simply from a lack of energy. Seiya wouldn't be trying that trick again, even with a spotter, anytime soon.

Michiru heard the shout as well, but there was nothing she could do about it. She had enough on her plate just helping her own companion. And despite Seiya's previous comment and the consequent urge to see her roll down the nearby stairs, Michiru wasn't planning to desert her. Yet.

"If I remember correctly, you already tried that. You were fortunate to have quick reflexes." Otherwise, Haruka might have left an unfortunate mark on the other girl's--at that time guy's--face.

Though, that wasn't entirely Seiya's fault. Michiru had instigated it. She just forgot to mention that part to Haruka, and the results had been rather amusing, anyway.
