Nightshift 35: Kitchen
[from here]
With an aggravated noise somewhere between a growl and a scream, Callisto decided to fully ignore their tag-a-longs for now and continue forward. They'd been lucky so far not to have been held up by anything and she didn't want that to change.
She marched straight through the kitchen without a word and without turning to see if anyone was following. It might have been childish, but getting the short end of the stick was something she was far too used to and she wasn't going to enjoy dealing with it here anymore than she had anywhere else.

Everyone had their limits.
Goku wasn't helping. He was already complaining.
"You just ate," Sanzo sounded exasperated. Not only did he eat practically both of their meals back in Doyleton, they'd just been served an actual dinner before nightshift started. Goku was toeing the line with Sanzo right now, and he was dangerously close to getting another cuff.
Still, he needed to get Goku armed, and just hope that the dumbass didn't take off a limb.
"And try not to cut off a finger either."
The monk held out the bonesaw.

He brought up the rear with Obi-Wan, sharing a comfortable silence with his former Padawan. He'd briefed Obi-Wan about the basement - at least as much as he himself knew - and he hoped that would be enough. If there was another obstacle down there, they would face it together this time; Qui-Gon took strength in this thought, feeling his resolve deepen. Whatever happened tonight, he would prepare himself mentally as best he could. Force willing, they would come away closer to the truth about Martin Landel.
Callisto was already at the freezer door. Even closed he could feel the darkness wafting up from it, like foul smoke, and it vaguely nauseated him. Evil in the Force, true evil, had that effect and while he thought he'd seen evil before in the galaxy, he had been in for a surprise when he encountered that Sith on Tatooine and then on Naboo. His presence reminded him of this darkness, almost like a slap in the face.
He waited for Callisto to open the metal door, stepping inside after her, Sanzo and Goku.

Thankfully, someone had already broken in this door. He didn't know if his shoulder could take another beating. While there were a few things that might have been worth grabbing from here, Matt was in a hurry. Though even as he passed up the opportunity he wondered if what he was doing was that much more worthwhile...

That task completed, all that was left now was to get back to his room. Matt knew he'd been lucky so far, and he could only hope that luck would hold out. He was hoping that the night had gone on long enough that any monsters around would already be occupied by other patients - as callous as that was.

Looks like someone had been through here as well, since Archer didn't have to break the lock on the door. Hopefully it was a fellow patient and not a monster lying in wait for them.
"The fridge over there. That's where the trap door to the basement is," he said to his team.

The businesslike survival mentality in Landel's brought to mind hazy memories of the past, something he didn't know how to feel about.
Hopefully, Brook's situation would work out and they'd walk away from it.
He lingered in the cafeteria long enough to verge on an unsafe distance between him and the others. Had he been a normal young man who was scared by Landel's, that might've been a problem. It wasn't so much for him. He made up the rear entering the kitchen, shining his flashlight around.
So if there was a monster in here somewhere, was Archer going to suggest one stay and fight while the others tried to keep going?

"That's well and good, but just where... is it?"
