Nightshift 32: F-A block hallway
[ from here ]
Shion continued to move down the hall, her eyes peering around at every corner she could see. Sadly, she was yet to see these so called “monsters”, but she knew that could always happen later, too.
Hm, first things first. She had to at least get out of the female block. Then she’d be able to figure out exactly where she was planning on going.
And so, Shion continued down the hallway, humming a song as she went.

Ami spotted the blonde tresses of her best friend almost immediately, and was relieved to see that she was with Falis and another girl.
"I'm sorry I'm late," she said, blushing slighly as her voice came out hoarse. "I didn't mean to make you worry Usa-chan - I've had influenza." She nodded a greeting to the other two girls. "Alita-san, I'm glad to see you."

"V-vampires?" Usagi looked around the dark hallway suspiciously. In any normal circumstances three cute blonde girls like themselves should be out at the mall shopping and scoping out cute boys, not hunting vampires in a creepy basement! She was about to voice that opinion, but then she heard the voice she'd been waiting for...
"Ami!" the blonde shouted, nearly jumping on her friend in an attempt to hug her. "Are you feeling better? We're going to the basement!"

"Yeah," she replied. "We're hunting vampires. I've got stakes for us all."
The bounty hunter leaned her spear against the wall and then pulled two of the three stakes she had hanging from the braided bandoleer on her waist, holding them out to Usagi and Ami. She grinned a little wildly at the two girls. "If a vampire attacks you, scream really loud and then shove the stake into its chest. I'll get there real quick to kill it."

Once again, that weird half-smile appeared on her face as Alita demonstrated how to properly use the stakes, as if she was trying to choke down laughter.
Well, at least they were all armed now.

As Ami regained her balance, her eyes widened when Alita mentioned vampire hunting. Is she serious? Ami wondered incredulously. Studying the older girl, it was quickly apparent that Alita was dead set on tonight's agenda, especially when Ami found a stake being held towards her.
Not quite knowing how to respond, Ami mutely took the offered piece of wood, juggling it with the two baseball bats before deciding to tuck it into her waist. At least if I hit it hard enough, it will hopefully give me a better opening to stake it... she thought grimly.
Realising she hadn't introduced herself to the fourth member of their party, Ami turned to the new girl. "Me too," she said, shyly answering the girl. "My name is Mizuno Ami. Do you need a stronger weapon?" she asked, gesturing with one of the baseball bats.

"Ready?" she asked everyone, and looked at Falis. Since this was all her idea she would be the leader tonight.

Hoisting her spear up, the princess turned toward the door and then stopped. She looked back over at Namine. "Ummm... where's the basement door again?"
no subject
Well, Naminé couldn't blame her. She was tending her wounds when Signum had told her that information.
"It's through the Sun Room, in the kitchen behind the cafeteria. There is a cold room storage there that has a discolored tile, which is the entrance to the basement." That is, if Signum was right, but Naminé felt that she could trust the woman's judgment.
That would have been all from Naminé, but she spotted a mass of green hair nearby that nearly made her jump in fear when she recognized it.
"U-Um, we should probably get going."

She listened to Namine's directions carefully in case they became separated. "It's better not to stay in one place," she said, smiling at Namine reassuringly, since the other girl seemed to be a bit nervous. She moved towards the door. Ami was never comfortable taking a leader role, and hoped that one of the other three would lead the way once they were in the next corridor.
