Day 32: Sun Room (4th Shift)

It was rare that Homura's nurse try to persuade him to a scheduled activity, but then, it was rare that Homura didn't go. But the demi-god had plans, and the poor woman had little other choice but to leave in a huff as he once again settled himself near the bulletin board in the Sun Room.

His conversation with Kenren the previous shift had left the demi-god with a lingering sense of anxiety. Perhaps it was something only those from his own world could do, but none the less, he was all the more ready for night to begin now. Goals and memories, the truth of his past and the possibility of the future: all thoughts lingering on the forefront of his mind, more than enough motivation to move forward.

Impatience was something of a rush for an immortal, he'd discovered. Homura liked the feeling, the excitement even before he had arrived in this prison. And now while he waited, he savored it again, a yearning that shone so much brighter than the boredom of Heaven.

[Waiting for History Club Q&A time.]

Well, as pleased as the other man looked, it got them nowhere. This whole conversation was bordering on the ridiculous, and Crane couldn't help but wonder if there was any way to get him to go away quickly and preferably in screaming, terrified fashion. But he didn't have his gas here, and to frighten the man otherwise would involve having to continue the conversation and getting to know him.

It was his own fault for offering. Although, with the way the other man was talking about this lust...

"Is Lust a person?" It would be nice if he were more helpful and gave more information than just a 'yes' or 'no', but Crane didn't expect that to happen.

Gluttony looked at him quizzically. Of course the man should know who Lust was. Everyone knew Lust! "You don't know Lust?" Gluttony said, almost disbelieving. How did he not know who she was? She was only the best, smartest, and most beautiful person in the whole world!

In a strange way, that sort of answered Crane's previous question...if he was supposed to know Lust, then it had to have been a person. At least, if only because he honestly had no clue what else it could be. A delusion of some sort, yes, but personifying a feeling? Acting as though it could just get up and leave? It wasn't something he'd come across before. But what kind of person would have the name Lust? And why would the man think he knew this person?

"No, I'm afraid I don't," Crane replied slowly. "I'll help you find them, but first I'll need to know about them."

"Ok!" Gluttony said happily. He didn't know exactly how to explain Lust. It was like explaining something that was so amazing and wonderful and good that eating was secondary compared to making it happy. How did you explain that? "Lust is tall, and has black hair, and is skinny, and can kill people with her fingers when she doesn't let me eat them. She's very smart, and talented, and kind, and gentle, and good. She's supposed to be pale, but she's not very pale here, but she's Lust! And I'm Gluttony."

He grinned wide at introducing himself. Lust would be so proud of him for remembering his manors! Especially when she was the one to always introduce him. Maybe she'd let him eat the annoying non-waffle-sharing guy from second shift for being so good? That would be yummy!
