Nightshift 31: M1-10 Hallway

[From here.]

[Specifically outside M1]

Nope, no one here either.

Axel sighed loudly. It wasn’t like he wanted to frolic around with two dozen or so people scrambling about, but he didn’t want to become bait for anything that was hiding in the corners either. He didn’t have much of a choice in the matter, but someone was bound to crawl out of their rooms at some point.

It didn’t take long to reach the end of the hall, but he made no move to knock at Roy’s door. It looked like the guy was expecting a few visitors and he was pretty sure that he wasn’t one of them. Nah, all he had to do was wait for the rest of his teammates to arrive, drop off whatever they gathered up and off they’d go.

Leaning his weapon against the wall, Axel followed suit and nestled back against the hard surface.

Had he the jealousy in him, he would have glared at the alchemist for holding onto such power, even if it had drained him as such. Instead, Luxord merely glanced at II with his continuing 'blank-stare' theme as if waiting for the signal to get up and leave.

The thought of running back outside for an encore of the night's performance made the Gambler wince internally. If Xigbar wished to repeat himself the next night, so be it, but X would kindly decline.

For once, no one came over and asked him the redundant question ("Are you all right?"), which he was exceedingly grateful for. He didn't know what that said about the people sharing the room with him. Either they didn't care, or they knew there was no point in bothering with pointless inquiries.

"That's fine," Roy responded shortly, his breathing still shallow and erratic. He doubted he would be able to make anything for anyone else, which meant that this man's order was going to take up two nights, but he could most likely "cash in" on that in one way or another.

It appeared that he had managed to form a proper weapon for him, since he didn't even voice any complaints. He was inwardly pleased by that, even as he tried to work through the fatigue that was overtaking him - it meant that he still had that skill that had gotten him a place as a State Alchemist, weakened as he was.

Well, it looked as if Roy's customer was pleased with the results of this little experiment. Jade took note of the latter's fatigue, knowing full well what was in store for him once he attempted his own transmutation. It was quite bothersome, and it would most likely put him out of commission for several nights, but he didn't have much room for complaint.

"Cool; I owe you one. Take it easy 'til tomorrow, 'kay?" Xigbar offered a grin and a waving sort of salute, turned to go... then paused as he looked at the other man. He still didn't know quite why the guy was there. Sure, he could make some inferences, based on how Roy interacted with him, but Xigbar didn't even have a name. Weird.

Ah well. If he wasn't gonna be friendly, Xigbar didn't have the energy to ease him up, on account of a certain Nobody that looked like he was planning on never ever doing anything with Xigbar again ever. Which just wouldn't do at all. Therefore, Xigbar took the bow in hand and waltzed out, thinking of what to do to get Luxord in a better mood. Kinda tricky, what with no alcohol, but he'd think of something. He had a bow, that clearly meant that he could do anything!

((Waltzing out to here. (http://community.livejournal.com/damned/336340.html?thread=27654612) ))

Oh good, it was over. Luxord gave one last glance to the two men before stepping out and following the other Nobody without another word, definitely planning to not do anything with Xigbar ever again if this was what would transpire each time. So damn dull...

[What he said, but with minimum waltzing.] (http://community.livejournal.com/damned/336340.html?thread=27654612) ()

Roy definitely was going to take it easy. He wanted to let out a sigh of relief as the door closed, but there was still someone in the room, which meant he still had to keep up that front of not being as floored by the lack of energy as he actually was.

That didn't stop him from half-turning his body toward the bed in hopes of getting onto it to rest, though. In the end, he wasn't sure he had it in him just yet to pull himself up, so he chose to stay on the floor, eyeing the remaining materials.

"Well," he commented when he was more certain his tone wouldn't come out weakly, "that's about the gist of it."
