Nightshift 31: East Wing, North Hall 1-A

He headed left, moving towards the door that should, if the consistency of this place still held, lead out to the Recreational Field. Hopefully there wouldn't be anything in the way like there had been the night before. Or, if there was, that someone else would have it occupied so he could slip right past. That idiot... and those girls too probably would not be too happy if he ended up with any injuries before actually getting to the room.

"And a very, merry Unbirthday to you," he said in automatic response, not being able to help but crack a smile. As much as he planed on being 8| stoic the entire night out of false agitation, there was something contagious about II's cheer. Especially when it brought back memories of Wonderland.

Good times. Good times.

"To me~?" Xigbar grinned as he continued their little ditty, glad to see Luxord finally cracking a smile. About time! X was great for a laugh when he was in the mood, the trick was getting him there. And it seemed like the best way was through the wonderful world of Wonderland.

That? Not amusing. Luxord did not enjoy running, even if it would mean saving his non-existence. Once again inside the building, the Gambler pulled his hand from Xigbar's grip and forced himself not to gasp for breath (it was not as if he were used to getting around without his powers, and Rould never was one to exert much energy if he didn't have to). Inhaling in what appeared to be annoyance, yet what was actually an attempt to stop an oncoming migraine, X looked to the other Nobody.

"I should punch you."

"Well excuse me for not wanting to pry you from What's-Her-Face. 'sides, this is important! You'll have time to rest later." Not that Xigbar was much one to think about resting when he really wanted to break out into a run and just pretend to live for a little while. But he'd slow down to make sure that the Gambler kept up with him.

...and not a single bit more slowly!
