Nightshift 30: M35, Clinic

Oh. Oh dear. Despite knowing little of the man on the radio in a personal sense, the news hit him hard. He wasn't sure if it was true, but... why would the doctor lie? If it weren't true, they'd find out easily enough, so it would be pointless. Right?

Oh, he was a horrible man! A part of Tamaki wished that he could fight, so he could help take down that awful person himself. But he knew it was just a flight of fancy. But what would they do now? Without any clues at all?

Sighing, he hung up the sign for the clinic. He needed to talk to Ed so badly, but he had his duties here. Even if he wasn't the best or the fastest, he could still do things. And he had to. So he sat down and waited, for either arrivals or some contradiction to what the Head Doctor had said.

Just in case.

Nami took this opportunity to shift her weight off of Zoro. He didn't need the extra weight on him anyway. Even though she was weak from fever, now she could spend her time leaning against walls and the stick from her closet. Or there was room on a bed.

"...I remember.. less than you all, unfortunately," she said to Zoro while they were waiting to be seen. A shipwright, eh? She couldn't even fathom what the Knock Up Stream (and whatever these guys had done to it after the point she remembered) had done to the poor ship. Merry had needed repair even then. "I hope I'm able to meet him at some point. ..There aren't any more, are they?"

She still had her reservations about being taken into a patient-run clinic, though. What sort of payment would they require? Nami needed everything she had right now.

Feverish and sweaty from her tousle with Eve, she coughed slightly. She certainly wasn't as bad off as Sanji, but she could use a good sit-down.

"If Franky showed up..." The swordsman wondered how he should phrase that part. There'd be a hole in the wall... "We'd probably know."

Zoro let Luffy do all the attention grabbing, content with watching Nami and making sure she didn't follow Sanji's example. It was doubtful, of course. From the looks of things, the chef had done the expected and taken all the blows.

"Nah, none that I remember." Though he wouldn't be surprised if there were others. Luffy was unpredictable that way. "How much less?" he asked, still casually holding on to Sanji. Like Nami, Zoro was somewhat suspicious of the clinic, though his thoughts ran more along the lines of their collective safety and security. He didn't trust these people, plain and simple. His instinct told him not to.

Gaze touching on everyone in the small but crowded room, Zoro stayed on the wall next to Nami and kept to his subtle observations. Kurogane was there-- the man was easy to spot-- but Zoro merely closed his eyes and listened to the sounds around them.
