Nightshift 30: Sun Room
[[from here]]
He wasn't sure just what awaited him as the boy with pale hair and glowing eyes dragged him across the tiled floor, but he was so bruised and beaten after their one-sided fight that he couldn't do much to stop it. After hearing the rumors about what happened to patients here, he didn't have high hopes. The world stopped spinning for a moment when they reached the railing. Was he just going to be left on the floor here?
It didn't look like he'd be quite that lucky. The boy floated into the air, carrying him along like a sack of potatoes before tossing him unceremoniously into the Sun Room below. He fell like a rag doll and hit one of the tables on the way down. He heard as much as felt the cracking of bones as he landed in a heap on the floor. His upper arm felt strangely warm on the left side, only to realize it was because the bone had broken through the skin. Yuuhi bit back a cry of pain, wishing the fall had knocked him unconscious too, then at least he wouldn't have to feel the pain for a while.
His flashlight was gone, lost in the scuffle, and he looked nervously into the darkness, well aware of what easy prey he would be. He had to move, before someone or something caught the scent of his blood.

That was it. This boy had to die. And he was going to die now.
Ignoring the pain, she'd survived and fought with far worse before, the Bride took advantage of the distractions caused by the other assassins' attacks and darted in at the right opening, to grasp the boy's head with both hands, shard of glass held between her teeth at the wrapped area, and snap his neck with a cold, fluid motion.
Playtime was over.

But not for long.
He was angry now. Very angry. The targets needed to be removed, and yet he had taken so much damage, his program wouldn't function correctly unless he rebuilt himself. So he would do just that.
The silent body suddenly roared to life, and he threw his opponents off of him with a shriek of fury. Head lolling to the side, both red-rimmed eyes wide with fury, he raised an arm above his head. His feet slowly left the ground, and he hovered a few feet off the ground. A strange, but very large assembly of transparent polygons appeared around his wrist, shifting and solidifying into a very solid bracelet-structure.
It whirred to life and gathered energy, and he braced his arm with his other damaged one. With a frustrated scream, sharp beams of color shot out of the bracelet in a radial pattern. Some hit the floor and left bare, carpet-less patches. One hit a sofa and the piece of furniture disappeared completely. Three hit HK, Beatrix, and SubZero--one for each.

Apparently they had really pissed the kid off, since this had the markings of a finishing attack.
It was unsettling to see HK and Arlene begin to disappear in a series of glowing 0's and 1's before everything went dark.

At least that's what she thought had happened.
One does not expect someone with a broken neck to come back to life with an untamed fury. She stepped back from the boy, her eyes widening slightly as something appeared around his wrist, never mind the hovering off the floor, and beams of energy shot out in all directions.
The Bride had no idea what they were, but as soon as one hit her, faster than she could even think to avoid, she knew it was bad.
"What t--" Her sentence never finished as she disappeared from the room.

What?! was the next thought that zoomed through his mind at great speed as he was thrown backwards. This was shortly followed by the last distinct mental comment on the situation before he suddenly disappeared:
Bugger.
