Night 30: Main Hallway, 1-East
[From here]
Homura had to pause for a moment when he came to the main hall, just long enough to grit his teeth against the pain. His eyes were never still, however, his guard never lowered as he lingered. One minute, two, then onward, refusing to delay any longer than absolutely necessary.
He hated being this way.

"A... distraction maybe?" she offered, though she wasn't sure how something like that would work. There were already people to distract the ones fighting, but... who knew how long it would last. "Or... ah... one at a time?"

"D'you think we could make it past in pairs?" he asked Javert. "You and Alec, then Kagura and me. It'd be a little safer."
no subject
Javert frowned slightly, as uneasy about the idea of splitting the group up as he was keeping it together. Still, there didn't seem to be another option; if worse came to worse, he and Trevelyan might be able to distract the patient and draw his attention away from Leon and Kagura.
"Let's do it," he said, glancing at Trevelyan. "I'm ready when you are."

Not that he was going to try and get hurt. That would be dumb.
"Right," Trevelyan said to Javert, then turned to Leon and Kagura. "See you on the other side."

She lost sight of the others, Javert and Trevelyan as they snuck away. She was becoming less and less sure of herself by the moment. Did she really want to do this? Would she really be of any help?

Aidou knew he didn’t have many choices--he’d wasted an obscene amount of time with earlier tasks, and now he was merely hunting for stragglers. Although he felt it necessary, it still felt wrong; not that he particularly cared about the long-term wellbeing of the women he pursued, but it was a mark on his dignity, he thought. He was a noble resorting to weak, predictable common vampire means!
But there are more important things than that. What about Akatsuki’s dignity? You haven’t found him yet, have you?
As always, the vampire blended perfectly with the darkness, silent and watchful of the commotion. And of the other prisoners. His gaze landed on a flighty little girl lingering a little too far behind her companion to be safe… Then he glanced over the nearby hallways, the doorways, the fighting, the criss-crossing beams of flashlights… The possible scenarios clicked into place in his mind. The opportunity was there.
He was a super genius, of course, he didn’t usually misjudge these things…
Quick as a flash, the vampire came up behind Kagura, striking her hard enough in the back of the neck to knock her rather senseless, and smothering any potential noise from her nose and mouth with his other. And just like that, he spirited her prone body away like some kind of pretty-faced harpy.
[stealing your Kagura away to here. D:]

He stared for a few seconds, then cursed under his breath and took off running after them. What in the hell was going on?
