Night 30: Main Hallway, 1-East

[From here]

Homura had to pause for a moment when he came to the main hall, just long enough to grit his teeth against the pain. His eyes were never still, however, his guard never lowered as he lingered. One minute, two, then onward, refusing to delay any longer than absolutely necessary.

He hated being this way.

Clark frowned, the worry obvious on his face. "I haven't talked to her since that time on the bus, I think. I hope she's okay..."

There was no way of finding out unless they happened to bump into her or he managed to catch her during the day. Maybe they could try to look for her tonight, if they both didn't know where she was. He still wasn't quite sure how Wesker was related to Claire, but he figured the least he could do was trust him. At least in that he probably was worried about Claire too.

"Maybe we should go look for her," Clark suggested. He peered around the corner, concerned about the sounds of fighting down the hall. Every now and then there would be a brief flash of light, too quick to actually see by.

"I saw her this morning, there was a slight problem with another patient, but despite appearances she is very capable of taking care of herself," Wesker just needed to teach her how to fight properly, and that was something he could arrange to do tomorrow night.

"It's extremely unlikely that we will locate her by simply looking around, we would need some way to track her," If Clark could locate Claire, he probably wouldn't have been so concerned about her. There might have been someone in this place that could, but that was unimportant at the moment.

Unfortunately, super-tracking wasn't exactly one of Clark's abilities. He could probably cover more ground, but the fact was that he was just as clueless as the next kid about trying to tail someone.

He sighed. "So what do we do now?"

Whether or not he fully trusted Wesker, the fact was that he was the only adult around here. Clark didn't feel that comfortable calling the shots. Despite the sounds of fighting further down the larger hall, Wesker seemed pretty calm about it. Clark supposed that he, too, shouldn't be worried then, but he still was.

"Well, I was planning on heading upstairs, you are free to accompany me if you wish," Hopefully they wouldn't run into Leon, Wesker still wasn't entirely sure how the cop was going to act, but hopefully Wesker's prediction that he would focus on Landel would be accurate.

Clark was large and appeared physically strong, he might be useful. It was likely that he had no combat training, though.

"If you don't mind," Clark said. He'd just have to be careful about not using his powers, for both Wesker's and his sake, but if Wesker had a plan, he was interested in knowing what it was. At the very least, he could protect the other man.

[Sorry it's short, still at work]

"Not at all," Wesker shifted the knife into a more readied grip as he started towards the stairs. There would be no point in heading to the lab tonight, and Wesker was sure he could find a syringe somewhere else.

However, he would like to make another attempt at going to the pharmacy, that would still be a very productive thing to do.
