Homura had to pause for a moment when he came to the main hall, just long enough to grit his teeth against the pain. His eyes were never still, however, his guard never lowered as he lingered. One minute, two, then onward, refusing to delay any longer than absolutely necessary.

He hated being this way.

"Run Hinasaki!" Sousuke called, still holding onto her hand for dear life and dragging her along close to the wall. The fight was still going on, and a few people were milling about. Sousuke couldn't afford to get involved, though. He had to get Miku to the clinic and then find her friends--pronto.

It hurt, running past the others and not being able to help them mixed the pressure of Sousuke's bigger hand closing around the tattoos. As though in retaliation, they stung more fiercely. She kept her eyes shut and ran blindly, trusting in Sousuke's sense of direction.

"I am running!" she replied, between breaths. She just wasn't cut out for this high physical exertion.

Sousuke stopped, gripping his forehead in agony, then lurched ahead. The tattoo's power was swelling to a head again. It wouldn't be long before he'd need to scream or beat something to make the words stop. He hurried on ahead, focusing with all his willpower on the clinic ahead.
