Homura had to pause for a moment when he came to the main hall, just long enough to grit his teeth against the pain. His eyes were never still, however, his guard never lowered as he lingered. One minute, two, then onward, refusing to delay any longer than absolutely necessary.

She looked to Raine. "I should help," she said firmly. Even if the odds were against them, she didn't want to abandon another patient. She wouldn't make Raine, but she had her duty.

Especially if she told him something he couldn't brush off. For example, that Lloyd was badly hurt... despite the situation, and everything he'd done, she didn't want to look him in the eye and tell him to go to his son, because he had internal injuries so extensive that even she couldn't heal them completely. But she couldn't think of anything else that would make him decide to abandon the fight.
That did leave the question of what to tell him about where the others in her group were, but... if she told him that Lloyd was being taken outside the walls surrounding the building, and that Kratos could help him by smashing through to aid their escape...
The idea itself was honestly distasteful, but even if it didn't work the way she hoped, it should distract Kratos enough to give someone the advantage. There was a small chance he would only be enraged, and take it out on the people in here, but when she looked at their options it seemed worth the risk.
