Night 29: Main Hallway 2-East
[From here.]
William continued on out of the stairwell before looking around the area that they had passed through several nights before. Nothing had changed, it appeared, though that meant little in this place. William grinned and glanced over his shoulder at Wesker as he began walking.
"I am curious," he started, careful to keep his voice lowered. "Just how long do you think it would take for a man's will to break if an outside influence constantly causes his hopes to rise and fall?"

Silence.
"AH! AND I DID NOTHING?!" He grabbed his hair with his good hand. "I CAN'T LET MALIK BE EXPERIMENTED ON! WHAT SORT OF A ROOM MATE WOULD I BE?!" He put a hand on Sousuke's shoulder. "You can't go there. You have to come with me. We have to get Malik back! AH! HOW COULD I HAVE BEEN SO BLIND?!"

The sergeant sighed, collecting himself again. "Listen, there are people who are going to rescue those taken for experimentation. Your roommate will be in capable hands. The last thing the rescue team needs is an amateur getting in the way."
Not exactly nice. Sousuke didn't know the meaning of nice, though, especially when it came to missions. He told it like it was.
"Now come with me and we'll get something that will be useful in battle. I'm currently unarmed save for this wooden pole, so rushing into a rescue operation would be both risky and incredibly stupid. I will not blindly sacrifice myself when there is more to be carried out."
Chidori...
"Follow me," He turned to walk down the nearest hallway. "That is not a request."

Really, if he needed a weapon, Mousse could spare something. It was easy enough to turn something else into a makeshift weapon if he had to. And if it would ease the tension some, Mousse would happily offer it up.

Wait, where the hell did he produce that from?! Sousuke stared for a minute. "...useful..." Perhaps there was more to Mousse than was immediately apparent.
The sergeant walked back to Mousse. "I was slightly harsh on you. Apologies."

"Is there anything else I might be able get for you before we go?"
no subject
"This will do for now, but I would like to acquire some knives. I believe the kitchen is this way."
Sousuke turned, but stopped when he noticed a girl trying to get into a door. Was she... talking to the lock? The sergeant turned back to Mousse and jerked his head towards the girl, moving towards her with his flashlight on.
