Dayshift 20: Dr. Washu's Office [Doctor Office 5]
For Doctor Hakubi Washu, it was like Christmas had just come early, especially delivered by Santa Claus himself. She'd leaped at the chance to use her knowledge for good- well, at least kinda-sorta good?- and more importantly to advance her brilliant new theorem. All she needed were the minds for study, and it just so happened that the Institute had plenty of such minds for the studying, and plenty was being offered for her to do so.
Wasn't capitalism such a wonderful thing?
Thoroughly in her element, Washu had pored through the patient files and gotten everything ready, even managing to add a little 'flair' to her office. Several unidentifiable but quite flashy machines were on her desk, sharing the space with a small bowl of sweets, and the standard-issue padded couch had been 'modified' while she was at it.
She couldn't quite hide her glee as she clapped her hands together and grinned when she heard the intercom. Any moment now, aaaaany moment...
((OOC: ForIchigo, Tamaki, Darman, Fayt, Nigredo, Takaya, Yazoo, and Zoe.))

He went into the room and took a seat without waiting to be told to do so, leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms loosely over his chest while he stared at the doctor with a blank expression.

Well, in this case, her inventive genius might have gotten a little- a little- beyond her memory. She managed to get an "Ack, don't sit down there!" out before Yazoo sat...
...and an electric shock would pass through his body. Not enough to cause damage, but certainly enough to be noticeable. "...kids these days, you're supposed to wait until you're invited, then sit down!"
She was, however, relieved that the Washu Anti-Moocher Shocker was working perfectly. Perfect deterrent for nosy co-workers!

He still refused, however, to say a word and simply continued to stare at her with a small smirk on his lips. ‘If you thought that little jolt was going to get anything out of me, you’ve got another thing coming,’ Yazoo mused to himself with a silent chuckle.

"Sorry about that, I got people bothering me all the time back in the academy, so I had to invent something to make sure they asked first. So!" She grinned as she sat down in her own chair, apparently unfazed by his silent treatment. "You're a new arrival, right? Has any of the staff actually done their jobs and told you why you're here?"

Hey, if he wanted to keep it simple, she could go with that. Whatever worked.

His voice was calm and cold as he spoke. “I do not believe that I am a person named ‘Yazoo.’ My name is Yazoo, I do have two brothers, and I could do magic.” He didn't lie about his powers being gone because he figured there was no point to it. The doctor would only figure the lie out if she asked him to demonstrate them for her.

"All right, let's go with that for a second. Tell me about your brothers, if you don't mind."

"They're brothers but not by genetic relation, according to your file. Apparently three of you formed a 'gang' based around your mutual dislike of your biological mothers. Ringing any bells?"

But things were starting to click together in his mind. ‘That explains our different last names,’ Yazoo thought quietly to himself, giving the doctor a cold glare. ‘But us hating Mother?! Kadaj definitely won’t like this.’

A bit of a smile at that, ironically; 'trouble' meant quite a few things to quite a few different people, after all.

“We are family, and I’m afraid nothing you do or say can change that.”

"...ever thought about what your mother thinks? Your real mother?"

She'd have to break out the heavy artillery next time. The file hadn't said anything about sociopathy or a complete lack of empathy; that meant she had a lot of work to do.
...she was kind of proud about how she kept the pain inside. That any child could feel that way towards their mother- feeling nothing- hit a little too close to home.
