Dayshift 20: Dr. Washu's Office [Doctor Office 5]
For Doctor Hakubi Washu, it was like Christmas had just come early, especially delivered by Santa Claus himself. She'd leaped at the chance to use her knowledge for good- well, at least kinda-sorta good?- and more importantly to advance her brilliant new theorem. All she needed were the minds for study, and it just so happened that the Institute had plenty of such minds for the studying, and plenty was being offered for her to do so.
Wasn't capitalism such a wonderful thing?
Thoroughly in her element, Washu had pored through the patient files and gotten everything ready, even managing to add a little 'flair' to her office. Several unidentifiable but quite flashy machines were on her desk, sharing the space with a small bowl of sweets, and the standard-issue padded couch had been 'modified' while she was at it.
She couldn't quite hide her glee as she clapped her hands together and grinned when she heard the intercom. Any moment now, aaaaany moment...

researchtherapy sessions when the orderlies dragged people in? She'd have to bring it up with the other doctors; maybe if the sessions weren't mandatory, they'd be able to get some progress done."Name's Hakubi Washu, and you're here because a guy about a quarter again your size dragged you in. And this is what's known as one-on-one therapy. Please be gentle with me~!" A bit of a giggle at that; sometimes, 'therapy' was best done with a more active role, so as to throw the patient's train of thought off the tracks. Or so she thought, anyway.
no subject
"Fuck you, and fuck your 'therapy' crap. I don't want to be here and YOU don't want me to be here." Takaya clenched his fists and teeth. "I don't even need to be here you freak. So why don't you find somebody else?" He turned around to try the door.
no subject
The door would seem to be 'stuck', as soon as Takaya would try it; Washu tried not to let her patients get away, not until a few more things were attempted.
Why not try cold reason? Sometimes it worked. "But you see, you do have to be here. No matter how you look at it, multiple personalities are a sign of instability. So unless you want me to write 'incurably insane' on your report, you really should sit down and tell me more about it. Besides, what have you got to lose? Arts and Crafts isn't that interesting!"
no subject
At the phrase 'multiple personalities', a muscle jumped in his jaw and he turned to glare at the so-called 'doctor'.
"I don't have 'multiple personalities'," he snarled. "I'm just me. Ougi Takaya." He said his name the proper way, last name first. "No one else here. You got the wrong guy." He spun and kicked the door again.
"Now let me the fuck out!"
no subject
"...that's not what your report says," she quietly answered, yet her voice seemed to be loud enough to cut through his shouting. "Mr. Ougi, then. Do you remember what happened right before you were admitted here?"
no subject
"Yeah? Well, fuck your report." He stalked over slammed a fist onto her desk. "I think I know my own head."
He thought about it. How much should he say? Would it shut her up if her told her anything? "I was outside, talking with... a friend." That word hurt, but he couldn't think of one better. "Then I closed my eyes and here I am. Nothing crazy there. Let me go, now!"
no subject
"...you weren't talking. Not at the end of it. You were going on and on about 'Kagetora', whatever that is, and you became agitated before you were knocked out and brought here."
Her voice was still calm, and she gazed up at the man with concern. "Sure you don't want to talk about it?"
no subject
"That is a load of shit! I don't even know what you mean?" Time to lie his ass off. "What the hell's a Kage-whatever? And who knocked me out?" He wanted to get that person back very badly.

"Is that so fucking hard to understand?!?"
no subject
She was still completely calm though, not even flinching after the abrupt violence. "What else am I supposed to believe? I want to hear your side of the story, but so far all you've done is deny it. There was a video of you trying to 'exorcise demons', too; what was that about?"
Washu took a deep breath. Oh yeah, she'd be needing tea and crackers when she got home.

Just like back in her college days.
She'd made a fair bit of progress with this patient, though; she'd just need to handle next time with more tact. "Sure, you can go, as soon as you do one more thing for me."
A long pause, then a bright smile. "You gotta call me 'Li'l Washu', okay~?"
no subject
"Well hello there Mr. Yamamoto," she said, all smiles, especially now that she had a back-up in the form of a large orderly. "Ready to go?" With that, she dragged him out of the doctor's office, shutting the door politely on her way out.

"Next~!"
