Nightshift 29: East Wing, North Hall 1-A

Aidou exited the cell block, heading down the hallway to the second male block. There were two stops he had to make in there, and with any luck there wouldn't be too much of a hold up. After all, he made a point of keeping out of the glow of people's flashlights as much as possible--even wearing white over grey, it was more easy than not to blend in.

Habitually, he kept an eye on each end of the corridor, absolutely refusing to be caught unawares himself.

Jack nodded. "Good thinking, Alfons. You don't mind if I call you Al, right?" He tucked his knife back into its oven mitt holster, considering the options. The chairs here weren't the sturdiest, but he also felt a little bad about leaving that thing out there for someone even less prepared than them to deal with. "I wonder if we could drop a desk on it..." he murmured. That would be heavy enough to pin the thing at least. And it hadn't moved all that fast.

"I don't mind," the boy answered, smiling as he did so. While it was a rather familiar term, the guy had just helped him survive... whatever that thing was. So 'Al' it was.

But that suggestion made the boy shake his head. Not that he felt any better with leaving the thing around, but... it wasn't like they had the kind of firepower to deal with it. A Stuka would have problems blasting through that armor! Besides, it wasn't like he was the strongest guy in the world, let alone using a desk as a weapon. "I think it'd be too heavy to use; it could sting us while we were trying to drop the desk on it."

Jack frowned, nodding. While he could chuck a desk with the best of them, there did need to be a little aiming involved. Then he grinned. "Wait, I got it. Have you ever cast a fishing net? If we can drop a sheet over it, that'd probably distract it long enough to heave some more furniture at it. And then... we just give it the skillet. Should be heavy enough to bash through the armor so long as we don't have to be in a hurry about it."

It was nice to have a little back and forth about plans, actually. It kept him from getting ahead of himself.

Alfons shook his head, a little baffled at that plan. "No, I've never even seen the ocean," he confessed, wondering if the plan would actually work. Those sheets were pretty thin, and it wasn't like he'd be able to handle it too tremendously well. Hm.

"Besides, wouldn't that stinger just lash out and rip through the sheets anyway?" Still, he walked over to Jack and offered the skillet back to him, blushing a little as he admitted, "If we do try that plan, though, you should have this. You're stronger than I am, and that looks like pretty thick armor."

Jack took the skillet back. The kid was so cute, when he reached for it, he brushed his fingers over the back of his hand. Just hoping for another adorable blush, really. "The key is just to be quick, while the distraction's working," he said. "We have to make do with what we have!" He gave Al a shining smile. "C'mon, let's go grab us some supplies."

There was even a patient's block, located so conveniently next to them. Jack led the way inside, being a little cautious now.
