Nightshift 28: East Wing, South Hall 1-A
[[from here]]
With the thought of food fresh in his mind, Allen found himself hurrying along, his mood just a little bit brighter. It seemed like his stomach was always rumbling in this place. While the dinner had been sufficient, he was already hungry again after using so much of his strength just to invoke the Innocence back on the bus.
He had to be careful though, his eyes were still adjusting to the darkness. Usually the dorm rooms and hallways were safe, but then, usually there weren't giant automobiles and trips into town that ended with everyone being attacked by transforming nurses. He wasn't going to take any chances if he didn't have to.

But this wasn't his friend's fault, he reminded himself. There was no reason to get angry with Claude. He clenched his fists at his side and turned his eyes to the floor for just a few moments as he calmed himself. It had to be the institute's fault. Maybe they didn't want Leon seeing the town. Maybe the doctors or whoever knew that he knew something that would help others escape. It had to be something like that, right?
At Claude's concern, Leon looked back up. The anger faded into bafflement. "I-I feel fine," he answered. "I think." At least he wasn't worn out at all anymore from his actions the previous night. He felt well rested.

"Well, I'm glad you're okay," Claude replied. "Maybe it was good to get some sleep after last night anyway." That spell-casting had really taken a lot out of Leon, hadn't it? "Besides, things got pretty dangerous once we arrived at the institute again, so you were probably one of the lucky ones, really."
He knew Leon would have been really interested in seeing all the foreign things in Doyleton, but Claude figured it was probably best to make his friend feel better instead of rubbing anything in his face.
"Anyway, the most important thing you missed was that we planned a meeting in Dias' room," the blond added. "I'm so glad I found you. We were starting to get kind of worried, you know?" He shined the flashlight around them a little, just to make sure nothing unsavory was lurking around in the dark. "But yeah, I'm ready to make my over there when you are."

"Dias's room?" Leon asked after Claude mentioned it, biting his bottom lip only a little at the thought. He still felt rather awkward around the taller swordsman, even if he'd had a couple almost kind words for him the night before. The blue haired man made him feel like an unwanted pest even in the midst of friends sometimes. "Yeah, I'm good."
He patted his journal, once again stuck in the waistband of his pants, and held up the screwdriver with the head down as though ready to stab something or someone with it.

When he saw Leon was armed (well, sort of) and ready to go, the blond grinned. "Right, let's go then."
