The business had been open when the changeover happened, so the doors were unlocked. Juri pushed them open with one of her feet. It was too quiet as she stepped into the dark showroom. It wasn't as big as she expected such things to be, but silent cars surrounded the offices. The stench of the dead filled the air though. Her ears didn't catch any sound of movement, other than her schoolmate, but that meant nothing.

"There have to be some in here," she told Utena. "Get ready."

From behind one of the cars, two zombies shuffled toward them. "Leave us alone!" Juri screamed and charged at the monsters with both of her makeshift weapons. They had to get rid of them long enough to find the keys and take one of the cars.

The light wasn't much better outside of the trees due to the fog, but it was enough to give looking through his notes a shot. The small writing in his journal was still nearly unreadable, but his photos were a little easier to decipher. Field trip, he read off of Anise's picture. No reason as to why she's following me or where we're going. Probably wrote that down in my journal. Great help it is now.

He ran his hand through his hair again, making sure the area was relatively zombie-free before taking a seat on a curbside. He could see silhouettes moving in the fog and dim light, but they were a distance away and not yet heading toward the pair. The frustration of being attacked and fighting monsters and not knowing what the hell was going on was starting was visibly wearing on him- Just sit and think for a minute. Work this out.

He flexed his arm a couple of times, feeling the burn from the claw marks that were dug into his skin. It looked nasty, but not as horrible as the vile ooze that covered his shoulder and chest. It looked like blood and vomit- Leonard wasn't sure he wanted to know if that's what it actually was. He checked under his soaked shirt- No wound. Must not be my blood. Figured I'd have felt it if I was wounded that badly.

"You hurt?" he decided to ask Anise during the calm.

The shock on the door was enough to knock it open.

"Aaah!" Now that they'd broken through to the other side, Alkaid found herself tumbling shoulder-first into the darkness of the shed, and onto a big mesh bag of what felt like soccer balls. Or volley balls. She wasn't sure, but they'd finally gotten in, and that was a total score! One point for Spock and Alkaid! Zero points for stupid rotting zombie flesh.

She stood up quickly, regaining composure with a pump of her fist. "Perfect! We're in!" Then she flicked on her flashlight, trying to see what she could get a hold of. Surely soccer balls wouldn't deflect zombies, but if they could come across something harder like baseballs, or better yet - bats, it would be awesome. It was pretty unlikely that she'd find something like swords in here, which was dumb, but expected.

The former Demon Palace Emperor began to rummage hastily greedily amongst the sports equipment, hoping that the zombies didn't speed up or something ridiculous like that.
